We had lunch at Bubala’s on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon. While no one who worked there was rude exactly, neither were they at all friendly which is very unusual for Provincetown. The restaurant was nearly empty. The food was only so so. When I asked the server if the mayo on my sandwich could be served on the side, he responded no because the sandwich (a portobello sandwich) was “pre-made.” I should have known better to order it after that response, but I did and it was average at best, and not cheap. Of all the places I ate during my week in Provincetown this was the only meal I had that wasn’t very good. I wouldn’t go back there.

We had lunch at Bubala's in PTown with our furry friend. We had cold lobster rolls wich were quite good and served on a toated hot dog bun as we like it (sometimes designer rolls can overpower the lobster). The price was quite reasonable and the service was very good. What's not to like!

Great outside dining under umbrellas. No face coverings needed at this writing though the staff was fully masked. Food is ample, a bit pricey for some but average price for most. There were 5 of us for lunch. The lobster roll is great at $28, also try the broiled fish sandwich at $17 is wonderful, also available as fried fish sandwich. You need to scan a barcode with your phone to see the menu, however they do have disposable paper menus available on request. They have a full bar service and the meals came out in about 15 minutes after ordering. We arrived at about 12:30 pm and most tables were open, however by 1:30 all were full so don’t wait too late to go for lunch. Payment is at your table with tap and pay on your card, and they can print a receipt if you want it.

We had a wonderful dinner at Bubala's. This was our first time dining here. We were seated and waited on promptly, our server was attentive all through our meal. The fish and chips were very good, the fish was fresh and perfectly cooked. The tuna sashimi was spot on. The Caribbean fish cakes were excellent, small bits of peppers made them delicious. The black beans were amazing, I'd say the best flavor I've ever had in black beans, very rich and complex. The key lime tart for dessert was outstanding. The crust was made almost completely of almonds, not the usual crush graham crackers. Incredible. We will definitely be returning!

We had a light lunch there the other day. Very nice place, great service. We split the grilled Tuna sandwich. The waiter asked us how we wanted it cooked (medium rare) and that's how it was prepared. We asked for black beans instead of fries and they were really good. In fact they were possibly the best black beans we've ever had. With onions and peppers in a very tasty sauce. The sandwich was perfect, the spicy mayo was tasty but not overpowering. We'd eat there again, anytime.

The front patio and inside restaurant dinner rooms are accessible. The patio overlooking the bay has a 6” step down so if you use a wheelchair take this into consideration. The staff is friendly and attentive. The lobster rolls were wonderfully fresh but very small for the price. Loved the French fries. Great frozen rose. The artwork is a bit strange and one piece of art had a woman’s head on a dinner plate - just very odd. I found it to be a great place to eat lunch.

We decided to grab a quick bite to eat at Bubala’s. The menu was fine, prices were ridiculously high and thought the food was mediocre at best. We had the cessar salad with chicken, clam chowder and a burger. It was just OK not great

Unfortunately, we didn't get to eat here. We parked the car, took some pictures and stood in front of the Bubalas because it was not yet clear whether we want to sit inside or outside. In short, we were told that parking costs $20 if we didn't eat. Uh, what, please? You may have had your bad experiences here, but the Americans are actually pretty good at it. We certainly did not feel welcome and now wanted to eat all the less here. However, it smelled fantastic and was a bit of a shame.

Bubala by the Bay is one of our favorite Provincetown restaurants to watch the parade of fun people and to see so many happy vacationers. Great food too. Seafood casoulet is consistently excellent.

Just fair is my walk away feeling. The food was just fair and was not inexpensive.I expect food to be more expensive than not in Ptown, i just expect the quality, in particular seafood -to match that. That was not the case, taste did not match price.

I felt it was too pricey for what I got; Teriyaki tofu with rice and broccoli. Our bill for four people was $170 for a late lunch/early dinner. The atmosphere was not in sync with the pricing. It's a very casual place with high prices. The food for me, was not impressive. I've had better other places on Commercial Street. If you go here, you will be paying for the location, not some awesome meals. This is just my take on it, others may really enjoy it here.

Bubala’s restaurant and bar has both inside and outside dining on the main drag of commercial street you can’t miss to before hitting the galleries. They offer an all day menu with a variety of surf and turf food options for both land and sea lovers. Many menu items have a kick so if you are not a fan of spicy keep an eye out for the ingredients. The service is friendly and the steamers were delicious. A quick bite after a day at the beach hit the spot.

Good place to go for lunch and dinner if you like outdoor seating and Ptown people watching. We had both the fried fish and broiled fish tacos. They were good but could have been spicier. The serving size was two tacos, whereas many places will give you three. We needed an ice cream afterwards.

We had a wonderful end to our day in P-town with dinner here. Our table was well-shaded and our waiter was masked. We had great cocktails before ordering dinner. Some very unique choices and all were delicious. Dinner was cod in parchment for one hungrier soul, a shared dinner of salmon with a side salad for 2 and finally a side salad and broiled fish tacos for the other. Everyone left feeling good about our meals and the staff.

We visited recently on a beautiful October day. We were able to sit outside on the terrace on commercial Street with our dog and watch the people (And other dogs —so many) go by. The service was lovely and it felt completely Covid safe. We had fish tacos and they were delicious (they were out of the lamb tacos we wanted to order however but it was nearly last day of the season).
