My wife and I enjoyed the Canteen. We were greeted by Kristen who could not have been nicer or helpful. She is a keeper. We enjoyed the B.L.T. and the clam chowder. The small restaurant is very unique with many interesting decorations from art work to fishing hooks to dishes. The prices are reasonable and we are very happy that... More

Order from a handwritten chalk board, select your drinks,(beer, lemonade etc) pay and head around to the rear table to await delivery of your plated meal. Fried brussel sprouts, corn, and a veritable encyclopedia of daily choices.

Amazing menu loaded with both unusual and healthy choices, and the option to combine items to make your own custom meal. Great Mimosa's and super friendly staff!

We were there at lunch and the woman who was running the place was unhelpful. I asked for ketchup as we were taking the food to go, and she limited me to filling one little to-go cup. When I asked for more, she said they were "out" of ketchup. I noticed, as I left after waiting a long time, she... More

This restaurant is finally open all year round so we had a chance to try it. Food is excellent, vegetarian-friendly, and culturally diverse. The staff members were incredibly lovely and welcoming. Price was quite reasonable.

Always great food. Fresh & tasty. Love the new breakfasts, whimsical decor, & excellent service. The menu changes sometimes to keep it exciting and favorites come back around. And in addition to all that, the owners are heavily involved in the town and stay open year-round, partly in order to help create community. Yummy food and awesome people - cannot... More

They were so nice and overall the food / experience was wonderful. My only complaint- the tofu was so over cooked it was practically inedible. But everything else was charming and lovely so I'd definitely give it another chance.

On a cold winter day, Canteens comfort food menu hits the spot. I like the chicken parm, the Pho and the grilled cheese with their tomato soup. On a summer day, there's the deck out back and the grilled fresh strawberry & peanut brittle PB&J alone is worth the visit.

We loved the new tavern menu. The bistro chicken rocks as does the new short ribs dish. Chicken parm sandwich features panko sauted breast, fresh basil and fresh mozzarella on a toasted ciabatta roll. Seriously great.
