When in Provincetown, there are so many food decisions to make. It was very hard to decide. The Canteen got great Yelp and Tripadvisor reviews, but I didn't want to stand in line to get takeout. After passing by the Mayflower, we saw the menu had vegetarian options for my wife and also had a lunch fish special. They had... More

Visited the Mayflower during our stay in Ptown. The Mayflower is reasonably priced as it's quite expensive to eat out in some places in Provincetown. The decor is a little dated, but it's friendly, our server was really polite and as he was new, went to ask someone else if he wasn't sure of an answer. He went out of... More

The Mayflower is a fabulous family restaurant. The food is great, the service and atmosphere are welcoming and wonderful. We have been vacationing in Provincetown for years... The Mayflower is our favorite place.

I had the clam chowder and lobster roll. The food wasn't bad. The service was not bad, but there really was not anything about it truly exceptional. The decorations were dated - not in a chatming way. It was a bit pricy for the four of us as well for what we got. There are a number of better options... More

I had lunch here one day on my short visit to Provincetown. It seems to be a bit of a Provincetown institution and exactly what I would expect from a Cape Cod seafood restaurant. I started with clam chowder which was delicious and had fried shrimp for my entree. The staff and my waitress were very efficient, attentive enough without... More

This is a typical coastal restaurant--seafood, fries, and large portions. I enjoyed the huge plate of fried oysters (couldn't finish them) but I would wish for a little more creativity on the menu. It's a decent family restaurant and the prices were reasonable for Provincetown in summer.

Our waitress was there on her first day it seemed, didn't know the menu, barely could remember what salad dressings they have. The seat on one side of our booth was broken so we asked to move. The salad was in a bowl that was way too small and all the salad kept falling on the table. The clam chowder... More

The Mayflower has been in town since 1929. They have a variety of food choices. I ordered the lobster roll with fries. I will say for the price the quantity was somewhat disappointing. The quality was good. Its a quick place to go, eat and leave.

1st I would say I have enjoyed the occasional meal at Cracker Barrel. This is a reliable place to dine. The menu is WAY too extensive (thus the reference to CB), but the prices are commensurate with the service and food quality. I found the lobster roll satisfactory, and the baked stuffed shrimp & scallops above average. Skip the surf... More
