I got to town around 11:30 on 3/23 and our friend tried to take us to lunch. Much of town was closed so a quick google check said the central house was open. Against my better judgement (bad last visit) it seemed one of few options in easy walking distance. Got there; closed! Again tonight about to leave town they... More

Michelle and staff execute to perfection. Don't even think about reaching for salt or pepper. It would ruin the perfectly seasoned dishes that come out of the kitchen. She's also a delight to speak with and helpful in explaining the dishes and recipes. Loved it.

Stopped here while in P-Town for New Years. It is certainly a staple in town and is always good to stop by. Not the best, but not the worse. Better than just OK....depending on who you get to serve and what you choose to eat. One of our friends order the sea scallop meal. Don't advise it. The sea scallops... More

Waltham Thanks so much for stopping by the Central House over the NY weekend, just as a disclaimer we devised a limited menu for the weekend because we were closing on Monday for 6 weeks thus only 7-8 entree options. We are thrilled that you both enjoyed our pasta dish, Chef Michele makes our past in house and her sauce... More

We eat at The Central House a lot -- and I always mean to write a review, so this one is for the Summer of 2016. Chef Michelle Ragussis is fantastic! We love her style of cooking - and the fresh ingredients she uses to make her magic. We love a number of things on the menu but we crave... More

Shame on you "TV Chef" Michelle Ragussis. Per your waiter, you would not accommodate a person with a dietary restriction. Remember us - no butter and salt, Thanksgiving weekend -Saturday? After voicing our dismay, they finally agreed to replacing the buttered/salted squash (and Sea Scallops) with Scallops and salad. Wish I took a picture of this dish to give the... More

Dear Methuen As the owner i take full responsibility for any entree that leaves the kitchen as does my executive chef. We try to accommodate as many requests as we can for all our patrons. The procedure should have been that the waitstaff asks the chef first if she can modify one of the entrees prior to taking the order.... More

We love the bar here and always stay for the sing a long. During this visit we ate here and were pleasantly surprised. My spouse had a great seafood dish and I had a burratta and peach salad. Would def eat here again. The drinks are very good also. Love the bartenders. (shout out to Ben!!) They are always friendly!

The food and the service were both just fair and far from memorable. The waiter acted like he could care less about being there and we called over a waiter from another table to ask for another drink and bread. Very disappointed and will not be going back.

Dear sir or madame I apologize that my front of the house staff did not respond to your needs promptly. After a long busy season in a tourist destination such as Provincetown, there is a bit of a fatigue factor that we all have to deal with. That is no excuse for average or "fair" service, so please accept my... More

Chef Michelle has transformed this restaurant that used to be just okay on most occasions but is now one of the best places to dine in town. It is a winner at every meal and a place that we frequent quite a bit having tried so many of the restaurants here in town over the years.

This is the second summer for Michele Ragussis to be the Executive Chef at the renowned Central House at the Crown. It seems her food has reached even new heights this year! Who else would have gotten awake in the middle of the night and thought to combine the fresh tenderness of scallops with a creamed-corn sauce? The fried cauliflower... More

I can't say enough great things about the food here, we are there three times in the last two weeks!! Each time we tried something different and each time it surpassed our expectations. The crab dip, onion rings, clams with chorizo were all great! Linguine with clams and spicy pepper was the best I have had and the lobster corn... More

Description
Central House at the Crown We believe good farming is worthwhile, and that it makes better food. We buy from small farmers who raise their animals outdoors, in grass and trees - not on corn and hormones. We buy heritage breeds that Americans have conserved for generations. Our seafood comes directly from New England waters. Our vegetables are as local as the season permits and we buy organic whenever possible. We seek out food that supports our values, and we think you will notice the difference. Please join us, and enjoy some truly good food.
