I don't understand why this place draws so many people. We expected to find an elegant restaurant in a centuries old building. Far from elegant, it is noisy and cramped. The food is just OK, the portions are small and pricey. One visit was enough for us.

On a recent Monday evening, my wife and I decided to dine at the Rye Tavern at the Pinehills. We had been there for lunch in the past and found it to be very good. We made reservations for dinner this time and were seated within 5 minutes. The restaurant was very crowded and the tables are somewhat close together.... More

The service was only OK. They forgot to bring bread to our table. The lamb meatballs were dry and cooked at least a day before if not frozen in bulk. My wife had the salmon and it was Very fishy smelling again, not fresh. So that she didn't say a thing and our server offered to take it off our... More

It's really worth the drive down the long dirt road. The Rye is a very comfortable historic farmhouse conversion with a very nice outdoor and indoor bar. It is "farm to table" restaurant with a very nice menu offering many very interesting choices. we had the New York steak and the scallops w/lobster. both were presented nicely and were very... More

If you can tolerate the drive in down a dirt road, that is strewn with major potholes, give this place a try.

It's the farm to table hotspot in Plymouth if you ask around. Hard to find down an unpaved road near the Pine Hills, it's interesting to get there. There's an inviting outdoor area with a large bar and lots of people having burgers w/ truffle fries and drinks. We opted for indoors as it was cold that evening and we... More

Read previous disappointing reviews but decided to try it anyway. I loved the atmosphere of an old inn. Also enjoyed the Brussel sprouts and the meals. Will go again. The service was great also.

I took my sister who was visiting and wanted to go to a farm to table restaurant. First off the noise level was so high we could not carry on a conversation. The service was ok although I felt the waitress had to many tables. No one ever stopped to pour wine or bring bread. The main courses were average.... More

Rye tavern has the most delicious drinks and Brussels sprouts ! We love sitting outside in the summer and taking in the view of the rye field! The setting is beautiful and food fantastic .
