The Chieftain Pub is a place to go for a great meal and fast friendly service. I have visited the Chieftain many times in the past. The Pot Roast and the Cappoquin Chicken are two of my favorites, though if they have the Cajun Swordfish as a special don't past it by. The front of the pub is a quieter... More

Don;t even bother unless there's two of you! $39. is way too much. I love their Steamers but they don't offer a 1/2 size portion for one person. So, I ordered their Fried Clams $21.; they only came with one side and they were terrible. This visit really turned me off; the steamed clams were the only reason I go... More

We only met to have a few apps and drinks. The place was packed but the service was still pretty good. Everyone had a good time and it was a good place to get together with old friends.

If you go here, you must have their bucket of steamers, amazing. The burgers will also meet all your expectations as well as their fish and chips.

I've heard about the Chieftain for years and finally got the chance to visit myself. Always highly recommended. What I liked about the Chieftain is it is familiar but unique as an Irish pub. Plenty of your traditional offerings of ales with local brew mixed in. Décor is appropriate to a local pub, it's clean and has separate bar and... More

I have been there 3 times and really like it! Fun and very casual place to stop even after a day at the beach. Steamers were fabulous. Great beer selection. Reasonable prices too.

Ok it's Saturday afternoon we're tired of driving and hungry and thirsty. As we approach our hotel I spy the Chieftain pub which is cool because we just got a Chieftain motorcycle. A sign of good things to be sure. We walk in and are greeted by the gorgeous Zoe who hails from Brooklyn but in her travels across the... More

What a disappointment. Restaurant was loud, congested and very hot. We ordered fish n chips, baked sole, angel hair pasta and fried clams. The fish n chips were undercooked, greasy, and clearly not fresh. The baked sole was not edible. They kindly removed it from our bill. The angel hair was very good, creamy and a great portion size. The... More

The Chieftain has a great Irish Pub atmosphere along with very good food. Lots of nightlife here along with live music and good crowds. The food is consistently delicious, with (relatively) traditional Irish food along with some typical American dishes on the menu.

My husband and I stopped in here for dinner on a Friday night around 6. The place was packed so we knew it would be good. We got the lady table! Waitress was super nice and knowledgable about the menu. The menu had a ton of options. I had the veggie stir fry and my husband had the fish and... More
