The menu is amusing with its pithy quotes. There is a quote from George Washington on the side of the building. Tom, the proprietor considers himself something of a philosopher. Sort of a Lebanese version of Italian cooking heavy on the garlic. Each entree comes with the house salad and "good bread" which is served family style.

My Husband and I were heading to VV on Friday night and decided to stop at Elizabeth's for dinner. Unfortunately, we were apologetically told they were totally booked and could not accommodate us. The charm, friendliness and the smells drifting throughout the small house of Elizabeth's influenced our decision to change our Saturday night Reservations that we had at a... More

Many Italian restaurants like to say that they will treat you like family – but that statement has never been more true as it is when it comes to Elizabeth’s. From the moment we walked in the door, we were warmly greeted by chef Tom himself. Our server, Leigh, could not have taken better care of us – she described... More

Lovely and freshly cooked food in a cosy atmosphere; the owner buys what's fresh that day in the market and goes around the tables giving away the secrets of his delicious dishes. We had a starter of baked onions sweetened with maple syrup followed by a massive plate of aubergine bake - a large salad and home-made bread comes with... More

Dinner is an experience, the owner/chef Tom is personable and justifiably proud of the food they serve, from th warm fresh bread, elaborate salad, tasty soups to the main entree. The only problem I had was too many tempting choices for one dinner. We have to go back again when we are in the area

When we get back to Pittsfield we always try to eat at Elizabeth's Restaurant which is consistently good. It's small and I would definitely recommend having reservations. It may be a bit hard to find because it is in an old house that is tucked away near the old GE plant in an industrial area. And one needs to be... More

An old house that never should have been a restaurant. Service is spotty because servers must carry food up the stairs, unless you get one of the tables "in the Kitchen " where it's too warm to be comfortable. All but 2 dishes ("specials") are pasta. The food is tasty. A generous salad is included. No where is it mentioned... More

For people traveling to or through Pittsfield, Ma., give yourselves the gift of dinner at Elizabeth's Restaurant. The restaurant won't win any prize for style or decor -- it's an old house in what looked like the industrial part of the city. But the food!! Delicious! The salad with all fresh ingredients was served in a big bowl, family style.... More

This restaurant is in a renovated two-family home in a business/residential area. Pink in its outside clapboards, it serves only from a small menu. Though the food is good, the space is tight.
