The whole experience with Ayelada is wonderful and I will return again and again. They have struck a balance between using local ingredients and appreciating local farmers without becoming pretentious and offering quality in the yogurt and the toppings without pricing the locals out of becoming regulars. This is a feat for a Berkshire-based business to achieve and I hope... More

Handmade yogurt from local dairy and fruit producers. You choose the toppings - which are too many to choose from. We stop at Ayelada at least once a week, but would stop every day. Our favorites include Green tea, mango, lemon!

Real frozen yogurt, locally crafted, without the chemicals! Creative small batch style flavors, with so many toppings to choose from! Ayelada is a family favorite, a local favorite and a somewhat guilt free favorite in Pittsfield. You can taste test the new flavors, and the original is always "on tap"!

I always go for original but their flavors are always changing and quite interesting! I love strawberry boba, but sadly you never know if they will have strawberry or mango. Mango is like eating flowers. Unlike other froyo places there isn't a choice between the two. My boyfriend and I usually don't get out of there for any less than... More

We go abt 1x/wk. it's absolutely the best frozen yogurt. It's made fresh from local sources. The original flavor only has 25 calories per ounce. There are many toppings to choose from including fresh fruit. Clean eating!

I discovered this place a couple years ago while vacationing in the area. I was impressed with the frozen yogurt and made it a point to visit again. This is the freshest, most wholesome frozen yogurt I've ever had. It is so superior to the commercial, franchised yogurt shops that there is no comparison whatsoever. Admittedly not all people will... More

When I moved from Northampton to Pittsfield, I was thrilled to discover that GoBerry of Northampton had a sister shop here in Pittsfield, Ayalada. The sources are local small farms and the animals are treated humanely, so I really feel comfortable buying their product. And the yogurt is great! The flavors are rotated every week with the classic being a... More

Ayelada has 4 weekly flavors and a plethora of topping choices from fresh fruit to brownie bits. 3 or more toppings cost the same so the biggest problem can be fitting it all into one dish.

Ayelada is the Greek word for cow and that is where our story begins.

The best frozen yogurt starts with the Cow!!!

Our frozen frozen yogurt comes from a cow - not from a mix. We make our frozen yogurt in small batches every day, on-site using skim milk and low fat yogurt from local dairies and fresh ingredients. The dairy used to make our yogurt comes from small independent farms and does not contain antibiotics or synthetic growth hormones.

Our frozen yogurt is high in calcium and protein, does not contain preservatives or any artificial sweeteners and since we use real skim yogurt it's loaded with live and active probiotic cultures. We create our own seasonal flavors from local farms and artisans when possible so they are ever changing! You can enjoy our frozen yogurt spring, summer, fall and even winter!

There are only a handful of stores that craft their own frozen yogurt. Most have chosen for ease of operations to serve frozen yogurt from prepackaged mixes.
