I headed to the ice cream place next door, but this little cottage looked interesting.. Had that signature nutmeg muffin & a coffee. The muffin was excellent, and the coffee was "real". Excellent overall.

Met a friend for lunch today had a turkey sandwich on their homemade multigrain bread. It was excellent! They also have the best soups around. All the sweets are great with a good variety of muffins and the cakes are the best! You won't be disappointed with your visit here. Coffee and a treat....can't beat it!!

Four years ago we ordered our wedding cake from Cottage Street Bakery. Our Halloween carrot cake, complete with spider webs and black Ravens on top was a glorious hit. We still love the pastries and often treat our guests to morning treats, especially "dirt bombs" which are not to be believed. The cakes, pies, breads, tarts and muffins are beyond... More

I love this tiny place. Great soups and sandwiches and delicious breads and desserts. Everything made there. Perfect in all ways, including the friendly help. Today I bought a blueberry peach pie, cranberry scones, maple cinnamon rolls, and a turkey sandwich. You can eat outside( bring your dog) or eat inside( only about 6 tables) . You will not be... The big attraction here is the "Bomb". People call ahead to reserve their order as each baking sells out very quickly. These are vanilla and nutmeg muffins drenched with butter and rolled in cinnamon sugar. They are quite good. Most of the baked goods are quite good. They also do sandwiches but I have never had one.

After reading about the dirt bomb I couldn't wait to try one. I found it dry and too sweet. I wouldn't go out of my way to try one. They should put a cinnamon streusel in the muffin.

My husband and I bought many assorted items: brownies, tarts, danish and muffins. We tried their most famous one called a bomb which was just a sweet muffin coated in cinnamon and sugar. The brownies were rich and thick, but not anything we haven't had before. I would absolutely recommend the danish which we both agreed were the best thing... More

The Raspberry blueberry muffin is the BEST muffin I've ever had. I was in town 4 days. I went every day. I may have some shipped to me too! Total summer time on the Cape

This place has the most amazing blueberry muffins. Perfect combination and not overly sugared so you can really taste the wonderful blueberry flavor. The cinnamon sugar Dirt Bombs are also quite yummy as well. Don't bother going to any of the larger bakery/restaurants in town for your baked goods. Cottage St Bakery is THE hidden gem here in Orleans.
