We were told about this little bakery and it was on point. Great service, great fresh pastries. I got a box of mixed muffins the fist time. I suggest the "dirt bag" for cinnamon lovers.

This is a lovely little bakery that is very popular because everything they make is great. They are most famous for their "dirt bombs,' which are essentially large, baked muffins covered in a cinnamon/nutmeg coating. They are as cinnamon-y as a good apple cider donut but they are baked, not fried (doesn't that make it a health food?). They are... More

I headed to the ice cream place next door, but this little cottage looked interesting.. Had that signature nutmeg muffin & a coffee. The muffin was excellent, and the coffee was "real". Excellent overall.

Met a friend for lunch today had a turkey sandwich on their homemade multigrain bread. It was excellent! They also have the best soups around. All the sweets are great with a good variety of muffins and the cakes are the best! You won't be disappointed with your visit here. Coffee and a treat....can't beat it!!

Four years ago we ordered our wedding cake from Cottage Street Bakery. Our Halloween carrot cake, complete with spider webs and black Ravens on top was a glorious hit. We still love the pastries and often treat our guests to morning treats, especially "dirt bombs" which are not to be believed. The cakes, pies, breads, tarts and muffins are beyond... More

I love this tiny place. Great soups and sandwiches and delicious breads and desserts. Everything made there. Perfect in all ways, including the friendly help. Today I bought a blueberry peach pie, cranberry scones, maple cinnamon rolls, and a turkey sandwich. You can eat outside( bring your dog) or eat inside( only about 6 tables) . You will not be... The big attraction here is the "Bomb". People call ahead to reserve their order as each baking sells out very quickly. These are vanilla and nutmeg muffins drenched with butter and rolled in cinnamon sugar. They are quite good. Most of the baked goods are quite good. They also do sandwiches but I have never had one.

After reading about the dirt bomb I couldn't wait to try one. I found it dry and too sweet. I wouldn't go out of my way to try one. They should put a cinnamon streusel in the muffin.
