Nothing fancy about this place...vinyl table cloths, mismatched tables and chairs, old time stools at the formica counter...you might drive right by. But don't. The simple menu of mostly fried seafood is very good and very plentiful. You will eat with plastic utensils from paper plates and will most likely take some food home. Cash or checks only. And byob.

I went to the restaurant. Had not been there in probably 10 years. First time I went was 1975. Lobster roll sandwiches are Lobster with a little mayonnaise. If you want a lot of Lobster in a lobster roll this Is It. Regarding the clam chowder this is real Cape Cod clam chowder. It is not the thick white sauce... More

The service might be a bit slow and the shack a lil warm, but the food is definitely worth the wait. The Lobster Roll was amazing and we also had the fried scallops which literally melt in your mouth!

This place will fall down someday, but I believe the looks are a big part of the "ambiance". Went with a gang of friends at their urging. We were seated right away, but it was hotter than you know where inside. No air conditioning made it quite oppressive and it only got worse as the place filled up. I thought... More

Funky. Their webpage is useless and has incorrect operating hours on it. Further, there is no phone number so you can't even call to check whether they are open. The food is good and the service friendly. Other places nearby (Sir Crickets, Mac's, etc.) are better though lacking the "character" of this tiny, old place.

We've gotten seafood here before and it was always good, and this time was no exception. Our favorite lobster roll on the cape.. just lobster meat and a little mayo; no filler, no celery. Just as we like it. We got takeout but service was fast and friendly. Fried fish plates are great: shrimp, scallops, clams, all good. The only disappointment... More

This is a small place with lots o character! The clam chowder is unusual but very good. The fish and chips are delicious! We were there for lunch and all tables were full when we left. We would come back when we come to the Cape again!

Capt Cass’ is a bit of a time warp, a slice of old cape cod from the 1950’s. We went on the day before labor day for an early dinner and only had to wait about 25 minutes. Go early or be prepared to wait for a table…for a while. The place only seats around 20 with some additional seating... More

Stopped by for lunch one day after going by the place for 40 years. It is all people write about, good food, atmosphere. Only warning I have is. boy do they pile on the food! Great dish of whole belly clams, sooo good, took a few home. Looked to be the same with other meals. you get your monies worth,... More
