Food is always marvelous. Frequented regularly when I worked across the street and continue to frequent in retirement. The doughnuts and pastries are often bought to give to friends. Breakfast with homemade hash is one of my favorites. Always walk away pleased with the homemade food and often have to take some home... to include a few baked goods for later. Excellent place and worth the wait even when there's a line.

We love Hole in One and were happy they were open in July during our little mini vaca during Covid craziness. These kids were hopping! There was no indoor seating, but they had large tents set up with picnic tables in the parking lot. People were picking up call-ahead orders and those of us not in the know stood in a socially appropriate line waiting to order. Once inside, we could choose from the full menu and the staff would bring it out when ready. They handed us a little bag of broken donuts to keep our bellies happy while waiting under the tent. I was impressed that their young staff was on top of everything and they moved fast to keep everyone happy. We're looking forward to when they're back open for indoor seating but we did enjoy our breakfast al fresco.

The system to get your food and beverages is chaotic and nerve racking, but the pastries and breakfast options are tasty. The espresso coffees average at best. Eating outside in the parking lot under a tarp wasn’t bad. The construction work repairing the asphalt 100 feet away had a dampening effect on the atmosphere. Pretty good option in Orleans. It’s busy - even on a Wednesday morning.

Judging from the line people in the area or visitors seem to enjoy the Hole in One, but why is beyond me. We had a California Benedict which was absolutely disgusting served in a cardboard box with underdone eqqs soaking into under toasted bread . The coffee (lattes) were weak and insipid and the bagels tasted like they were from a plastic factory. I guess people on holidays in America have very low expectations.

this place was not like the original .. the donut wasn't as good .. lazy like dipped .. and there wasn't a smile at all from one worker .. my donuts had nail punctures from the woman with long nails how she picked them up with her nails stabbing them .. my eclair was thrown in a bag and squished .. .. I was sad .. needless to say I didn't eat the donuts .. glad the eclair didn't have punctures in it ... it just wasn't pretty anymore ..

I reviewed this restaurant in 2017 and gave it a good review. We visited again and it was not a good experience. You are given a paper menu and then order from a person at the counter. The person rushed us and was not very pleasant. The breakfast comes out in styrofoam container and was not very good. Other restaurants are serving the food in real dishes. I ordered eggs and home fries. The home fries are not real but french fries in disguise. Only good food was the toast seemed liked it was homemade. Bottled water only comes in a cardboard box.

Apparently, Hole-In-One has been around in Orleans for years, but we never heard of it until our friend suggested meeting there for a late breakfast. If you’re arranging such a meeting, be sure all parties know to meet at either the Orleans or the Eastham location or you could end up waiting a long time for the others to show up. Their breakfast options are considerably more substantial and interesting than their lunch offerings. But you can’t go wrong either way.

This is most disrespectful restaurant my wife and I have been to. At about 1:30 I walked in the door and asked for a menu, the receptionist give me a menu, I asked her about table service outside, Where my wife and had planned to eat, my wife had walked back to the bike shop by the bike trail to retrieve bike where it was having work done. The receptionist said we had to order at the counter and wait, and then we could eat outside or in, she doesn't say anything more about closing time. I seat at a table waiting for my wife and reading the menu, my wife soon returned riding her bike after she made her selection form the menu, we go inside to order at 1:55 pm, the lady behind the counter says we are closed, I say “oh what time do you close” she say 2pm, I said “well its not 2pm and where given a menu earlier and we no knowledge of the closing time, the receptionist don’t say a thing when she gave me the menu”. The girl very very rudely says “We are closed I told you, you have to leave, you can have cup cake from the glass cabinet.” And with her stamen we left and went to a very nice and friendly restaurant by the bike trail. We won’t return to Hole In One ever again.

I was looking forward to a return trip to Hole in One. I have been there several times before (pre-COVID) and was always happy with my experience whether it was for breakfast or lunch. This visit was quite different. First, the whole ordering experience was odd. Even though we are more than two years out from the start of the pandemic, it appears that Hole In One has not emerged much. Ordering is done at the register in the front. I was then directed to go find a table. On your way you can pick up plasticware, napkins, condiments, water, etc. The problem started when what I ordered was not what the cashier put in for my order. In fact, when she started to question me on how I wanted certain things in my order, I went back to the menu to check again to make sure I had was getting what I wanted. Still, that managed to not be the case. Since I didn’t get what I went there for, I will rate the food I got in the order that I actually received. To start, the presentation was unattractive in the takeout container. It contained two small potato pancakes, two fried eggs and about four pieces of bacon half of which was overcooked. The bacon also appeared to have been sitting around for a while. It also came with a packet of sour cream. The potato pancakes were disappointing. In hindsight, I should have questioned the cashier more when the things she was asking me didn’t make sense with what I thought that I was ordering. But, even then I’m not confident that the quality of the food would have been much better. That’s too bad as I’ve had many good meals there in the past. Maybe it was just an off day and once the summer season starts (and hopefully the experience of eating there becomes more like it was pre-COVID) it will be better. I know it can be so much better than my experience was.

Once enjoyed eating here, however eating out of to go boxes with plastic ware is not my idea of breakfast for $35 for two people. Was advised no servers and you order at counter and then have to clear off your own table. One server stated it has been this way since Covid. Will not return to The Hole In One. Enjoyed many other restaurants this month and all served on real dinner plates or bowels with silverware! Perhaps you should change the photos on your website. Oh, our food was barely warm and black beans looked like raisins.

You get a lot of donut for your money—these are big (yeast and cake both). Pumpkin was very lightly spiced so it was disappointing as a “pumpkin” donut. Oddly enough, the flavor got better on one that we didn’t eat until the next day. The risen style is more dense than we expected—almost cake-like but the flavor of the glazed donut is quite good—lots of good dough flavor and great icing. The sour creme donut was disappointing as we felt it needed much more sour cream flavor. The service was great. There was a covered area for eating outside in the parking lot which was nice for keeping our distance but the view was poor. But there are a few chairs in the front that have a better view.

My husband and I stopped here after an early morning walk on the beach. We ordered a sour cream donut , per recommendation from a frequent patron along with an everything bagel with butter and 2 cappuccinos. The donut was not tasty at all and very heavy. The bagel did not have butter as requested twice but wads of cream cheese!! Upon our next vacation to the Cape, this establishment will not be included for a repeat visit. I also felt it was poorly organized and the waitstaff to be inexperienced!!

Mom and I both had a delicious breakfast! The potato pancakes were super crisp, the toast nice and hot (often not the case at breakfast places!), and the home fries were flavorful. The baked goods looked amazing, and I’m really glad we grabbed an orange cranberry muffin to enjoy later. We definitely plan to go back and try some of the other breakfast options and yummy treats! Oh, and the coffee was excellent!

I was hoping for a delicious, sit down breakfast. This is a place that when you enter the door you are handed a paper menu with meager offerings and place your order at the "hostess" station. You then find a table and someone will bring your food to you in a takeout container. There is no waitress, noone to check if your food is okay, and no fresh hot mugs of coffee with refills. Everything is served in throwaway containers. The food was fair. You bus yourself. Also, pretty expensive for a less than cafeteria setting. We will definitely not be back and will not recommend anyone to the Hole in One "Restaurant".

We were visiting the Cape for Valentines weekend and decided to have breakfast at Hole In One. In the summer it’s a long wait to get in, luckily we arrived at the right time and was seated right away! I had the California Benedicts which was amazing and my husband had the traditional Benedict which he thought was very good also. Note to the restaurant, he thought the ham was a bit grizzly. But other than that no complaints! On our way out there was a large group of people by the door waiting to be seated! The staff is friendly and attentive and we will be back!!!!
