I dined at the Barley Neck on Good Friday in anticipation of kicking off the holiday weekend. My first visit since Joe sold the restaurant. I was surprised by the limited and non-creative menu. My entire party of 5 wished we had gone somewhere else or went back in time to the old Barley Neck days. We miss Joe!

We frequented the BNI twice this week. Brunch at a nearly deserted bar was fine with attentive service. Dinner was a totally different experience. The bar staff on a night that was only moderately crowded were more occupied with chatting up their friends at the end of the bar than taking orders. Our drinks and food order took a long-time... We loved it when Joe onwed the place and visited everytime we went to Nauset Beach. The new owners The Ruggieri's are doing a great job! The Menu is large enough to serve many palates! Many gluten free menu items! Make sure you ask for the warm GF bread (baked fresh) when you order your drinks so it will be... More

There were four of us. Everyone got something different, and each person enjoyed their meal very much. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They have many gluten-free items on their menu which was perfect for one of us.

After reading some of the reviews from last New Years we were hesitant, but decided to jump in. We sat in the dinning area, much less quiet and enjoy an outstanding dinner. I recommend the swordfish chop and prime rib, which my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed. The service was excellent as well as the wine list. Afterwards we listened... More

BNI is one of the best bar/restaurants on the Cape. An imaginative menu, a fine selection of wines, beers and spirits and attentive professional wait staff and bartenders make this a go to spot for me. They have Wed. wings night at $0.25 /wing, Thur. is $10 burgers with wonderful fries. Their fried calamari with sweet chili sauce on Asian... More

We usually passed this place up wanting something else. But went out on a limb and decided to BNI a shot. The only thing I can say is that are entire table was delighted with are decision. The food and drinks were better than expected and the service was great. It was a good blend of your unique and classic... More

Had their chickpea / vegetable stew thinking it would be a flavorful, and enjoyable dish. I was somewhat critical of the $22 cost of such a austere dish but decided to try anyway. It was a 1/2 can of chickpeas enveloped in a tomato mush on top of a mound of dry rice.

Dropped in for early dinner on a Friday night in October. No reservations. They sat us down right away, no problems. Waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We had a great clam chowder with lots of clams, some salads and spring rolls..awesome! Love the open space/atmosphere. Fun!
