Have never wanted to try it since we had head how expensive it could be, but we had a Cape Deal for half off, and gave it a try. The ice cream was very good, but I can see how expensive it could get with kids making there own sundaes with the toppings. With the half off it was a... More

Thanks for giving us a try - and glad you enjoyed it. We do offer fixed pricing starting at $3.50 - all homemade ice cream & added bonus is our base is Organic.... If you want a different experience, you can make your own Sundae (over 60 toppings), pricing varies, and it all depends on what you put in your... More

Lots of great options from frozen yogurt to soft serve to hard serve and an outstanding variety of toppings. The numerous and unique toppings were the highlight of the visit for my son. Everyone across five people, young and old found something they liked. Great atmosphere inside and fun activities in the "backyard" outside. We will be making this a... More

Happened on by chance, but fun! It's a little pricey but home-made, organic, unique flavors -- and they offer a 69c an ounce option that allows you to add one of DOZENS of toppings that are very unusual (Nutella whipped cream, anyone?) Delicious and funky.

To say that this was a waste of money is an understatement. The teens working clearly didn't want to scoop ice cream--telling me that it was too hard to scoop! The peanut jungle flavor was a total disappointment. Coffee buzz wasn't much better. Chocolate was ok. We get ice cream almost every night of our 2 week stay every August.... More

Hi Kara - Sorry you thought the staff was being difficult.....there is more to it.... they were actually trying to be very helpful..... here is the background on PB Jungle.... In August we created a Vegan hard serve ice cream called PB Jungle. It was done by one of our employees, and made from scratch. The first batch was easy... More

The ice cream is good, but you have to remember you pay by the oz. so allowing kids a make your own sundae experience can end up costing more than dinner! That said it is good soft serve!

When you suffer from wheat sensitivity anywhere you go, you'll get yours in a dish. The Local Scoop will give you a cone! Their products are also locally sourced and organic when possible.

Small shop which has adopted the ice cream chains approach of make your own and then get charged by the ounce for the ice cream, bottoms and tops. I didn't see the price per ounce posted anywhere, and the clerk told me it was "automatic". By the way, I've just discovered "bottoms" -- put a "toppping" on the bottom of... More

This little shop will scoop out as much or as little ice cream as you would like and in flavor combinations. Then you can go over to the toppings bar and put as many different goodies on top of your scoops. The catch is that you pay by weight so it can get very expensive. But the ice cream is... More

Instead of ALL the other great ice cream offerings in the area (you can never have too much ice cream), the Local Scoop has an entire huge section to self-serve make your own sundaes. How many times have I stood at a counter in a shop and given my order to the clerk with flavors, topping, topping, topping, and always... More

The business model of this ice cream shop is unusual. You don't buy a large or small cone/cup, nor a one- or two-scoop cone/cup. The customer is charged by the weight of the ice cream, although the price per ounce is not displayed anywhere. You won't have any idea what the cost is until your kids' cones have been scooped...
