The Yardarm Restaurant is a small place with a big imprint. In the last decades we've prided ourselves on being the go-to meeting spot for locals in Orleans. On any given day, you'll find townsfolk like fisherman, physicians and plumbers all sharing stories over drinks or watching the Patriots. The Yardarm is a place where friends meet and where new friends are made.

A big reason for our popularity is our food. We have a variety of dishes in different styles, from steaks to Gumbos but there's no one else quite does fish like we do. In fact, the Yardarm is where the local fisherman go to eat. We even serve forgotten traditional favorites like Cod Cheeks.

Then more come in for the friendly service. Everyone from the owners down to the wait staff has made it their utmost priority to serve you well, and you'll definitely notice the smiles on our faces and attention to detail as you slowly realize like you're dining at a friend's place.

Great Service at the Tavern

This is a small, down to earth place with honest food and warm, friendly service. Hubby and I ate lunch there today and were very happy with the good service and friendly staff, esp. Rose, who always has a kind word and a smile for her guests. This is what keeps us coming back. You can get good... read more

New owners are doing a great job....not too many changes. Love the prime rib night specials! Great for lunch or dinner. Casual and friendly.

This is an eatery for locals as well as visitors. My wife and I almost always order their seafood chowder, stuffed quahog and fried clams with bellies. In all the many years we have gone there we have never been disappointed with the food quality or service. Seafood is always fresh. When you see the same wait staff year after... More

Our party of six loved our dinner at The Yardarm last Thursday evening. As always, the place was full, and we were lucky to snag a table which had just been cleared. Service was perfectly attentive, and our dinner amazed us. My fried oysters were heavenly while the salads at the table were fresh and ample. Fish and chips were... More

It's always a delight when my wife and I make a trip to the Lower Cape. It's even more of a treat when we eat at The Yardarm as we did this evening. As in previous visits, we were seated quickly with drink and food orders being taken in a timely manner even though the place was really busy. I... More

I had not been to Orleans in over 10 years. When I returned to see some dear friends, they suggested we go to the Yardarm for dinner. According to them, they go often. It was a party of 4, all adults. We went on a Sunday at 5 pm. It was starting to get busy given it was tourist season... More

The first night we were swept right into a table immediately. Had the great Loin Lamb chops ...great cuts of lamb that melt in your mouth so tender. Plenty of food ...friendly wait staff and hostess ..they all work together beautifully. We had to go back a second night because it was all so good and close to where we... More

Took my sister to the Yardarm for dinner. She loved her dinner, and I loved mine as well. I ordered the seafood platter. They had to substitute oysters for whole belly clams, as they were out of stock, However, both meals were exquisite. the place is a bit on the noisy side
