My husband and I had lunch at The Lookout on two different occasions while visiting MV! The first visit, I ordered a turkey sandwich along with homemade kettle chips. The sandwich was packed with meat and the kettle chips were off the chart. What I...liked about them was there was lots of flavor and very little salt! My husband had fish and chips and much better than those sold at a big name seafood restaurant. The second time there, I had a cob salad and it was magnificent. Overall, the food was great and the prices much better than a “big name” restaurant down the street! Hands down, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!🤗More

Crazy busy and noisy but after we got our meals, I understood why. Best lobster roll hands down and my Bloody Mary was wonderful too. Worth the hustle and bustle!

Visited looking for a drink or two prior to getting a ferry from the local marina. When we entered no one asked us if we were eating or drinking, or showed us to a table. We sat at a table and were told to move...to a smaller tables which we did, only to be told to be moved again. The restaurant was not busy, and would not have filled all its tables in the time that we had. Very abrupt service and overall not a pleasant experience. Enjoyed the alternative local bar that we ended up in.More

Stay away! Terrible service, gross drinks, and mediocre food. The staff and managers were so rude. Do not go if you just want drinks and snacks, they won’t let you! Very greedy.

Food was good. I had the mussels and fried oysters. My daughters had sushi which was awesome and very fresh. We sat outside and enjoyed the sun and breeze. Would go again. Always busy, but if you go between prime lunch and dinner, maybe for...linner…you will have a better chance of sitting without the wait.More

Nothing special here, confused over the high reviews maybe for the location? But food was just average bar food. Server was nice and outdoor area was ok. No desire to return.

Hostess was nasty. So our first impression wasn’t good. Service was good. Noise level was very loud. Food was ok. Will not go back. Would not recommend. Management really needs to take a good look at their hostess staff. Worst ever.

Absolutely the worst lobster roll I have had in a long time. Way overcooked. Tough and fishy. You are better off going to the Fish Shanty in Edgartown!

The food came extremely quick which is always a bonus when you go in hungry. When it came it was fantastic, the best lobster roll that I have ever had and my husband, who is from Massachusetts was very pleased. His came on a toasted...hoagie roll and mine was on a toasted gluten-free bun which was a bonus for me. The lobster was in large chunks smothered in warm butter or you could get it in Mayonaise. We will probably come back tomorrow to try the fish and chips, we also had the chowder, I found it a bit watery but my husband said it was greatMore

We enjoyed a lobster roll and the fish and chips. Food was fresh, services was great, and location was centrally located. A definite must try when visiting MV. We visited off season and restaurant was still crowded. They had outside seating and heaters to keep...guests warm. A local skunk even passed by to see the tourists on his nightly rounds.More

We came up to the Vineyard in mid December for the Christmas Stroll in Edgartown and had a nice lunch in OB here. I have been her a few time is the past - mostly to watch the Sox and have a beer. I think...I took the food here for granted - but it was REALLY good. My wife's tacos were outstanding - with the corn relish being the highlight, and the chowder and sushi were great as well. The service was extremely friendly and efficient - and the view and location are one of the best on the island,More

If there is a place for the best lobster roll on the island, this is probably it. Whether you like your lobster roll with mayonnaise or butter, you will not be disappointed. The roll has a generous portion of real lobster pieces, not lobster mush...like at other places.More
