I have visited this establishment numerous times and they are always consistently good. This quaint restaurant( open for lunch only) is in an old home with different luncheon "rooms" all with a Victorian flair. Antiques and quaint vintage fabrics abound. The menu always features homemade soups, a "toastie" , different sandwiches and salads, sumptuous desserts and if course, a huge... More

I visited mid week with my daughter who had a day off from school. The decor is charming and homey. It took a while before anyone came to take our drink orders. We both ordered tea, and ordered our lunch at the same time, since we had waited so long. We waited at least 30 minutes (more like 45?) for... More

Nice, cute, charming place for tea with the gals. All the accompaniments are available: cakes, salads, sandwiches. Way too expensive, though. Definitely not a place to frequent.

My girlfriend and I stopped in after Special Teas had generously donated a gift card to our football team's fundraiser. We decided to give them a try since they were so kind to our football booster program. We were delighted. We both had soup, which was homemade split pea. It was fantastic and fresh with a bit of tarragon. Then... More

Special Teas is a great place to spend a leisurely Saturday afternoon with a pot of tea and a very tasty lunch. This is the very antithesis of "fast food". They're only open for lunch and tea-time Monday through Saturday (closed on Sundays) ... and their clientele is ~90% women (of all ages). Don't eat here if you're in a... More

Absolutely love this little shop of delectable treats to soothe the body & mind. Whether coming here with girlfriends or dining alone with a book, I have always left satisfied and looking forward to my next visit. Bit of Both (daily soup & melt or salad) is my favorite! Although they have a good tea menu, I am partial to... More

The wait can be a little long because it's a small place but so worth waiting. Everything is handmade from scratch and you never know what you are going to find on the menu. I have never had anything I didn't like. The desserts are scrumptious! There are choices of tea are many. Stop and take a look. It is... More

Yesterday my mother, my boyfriend's mother and I had a very long lunch at Special Teas. After being seated it took more than five minutes to be greeted and to take our drink orders. Ten minutes later, drinks finally on the table, we were able order lunch. It took more than 40 minutes before for our melts and a salad... More

My 6 year old daughter and I love going here for tea parties. On more than one occasion I have brought friends here for a quiet get together including fabulous food and amazing tea. I brought my daughter here for her 6 birthday and the owner was kind enough to gift my daughter the small tea cup and saucer. I... More

I've been to Special Teas many times for tea with a friend or for small gatherings. The selection of teas is fantastic, and the scones are amazing. The service is usually on the slow side, but we don't care - we're there to talk and relax. I recommend the Afternoon Tea - mini sandwiches, 2 choices of scones, and mini... More
