We really wanted to like this place but the food was bad. It's a nice space, the waitstaff was friendly, and they have healthy options, but the dishes were not good. The best thing we had was the ravioli appetizer, that was great, but that...was the highlight. I had a cup of the fish chowder. It was very bland. Not sure what they used to thicken it but it was gummy and gluey. The shrimp "tempura"... It wasn't tempura - it was a very heavy batter - like you'd get with fish and chips. Very thick coating, greasy, no flavor. I think there were maybe 4 shrimp and the vegetables were undercooked. I had the "pan fried" noodles with shrimp. Also very bland, almost no flavor. The noodles were NOT fried - just boiled and put on the plate with a bunch of mostly-raw vegetables. The shrimp were OK. My wife had the vegetarian sampler special. The tofu was good, but that was it. The rice cakes were super heavy and gummy - pretty much inedible. The majority of the dish was kale(?) that was so tough it was also inedible. Can't recommend this one and we won't be back. It's a real shame because there aren't many restaurants that cater to vegetarians and pescatarians.More

Courteous service. The pan-fried ravioli was very tasteful. The fish (cod) and chips was good (very fresh fish). To my taste, I wold have seasoned the flour (I use mix of peppers, powdered garlic, paprica, etc). I would add cappers and diced mini cucumber pickles...to the sauce. The scallops were perfect. Simply perfect. More fresh impossible, not the usual jelly-soft mess we see in many restaurants and cooked yo the right point. Better than that only if they had been served with something better than the quinoa (I’m still in doubt if it was quinoa ou plain rice) - a Sicilian lemon risotto would be perfect. Rose wine was perfect.More

Sorry, but I find this restaurant is over-rated. The menu options are healthy and reasonably priced which is great, but the truly rushed atmosphere diminishes the experience. We have been here for dinner several times over the past several years and each time the service...was very rushed. Last night, I ordered the fish chowder as an appetizer - it came out immediately (faster than McDonalds) and after one taste, I needed to return it as it was barely warm. The server brought it back and very shortly another server returned with a hot version. Nice, but unfortunately their chowder is really B-L-A-N-D (a real hospital version of a chowder). Worse, within two minutes the server brought our dinners and salads out at the same time and had trouble finding space on the table for the dishes. After she zipped away, she did not return to ask us how the meals were until after we had finished eating. (why bother?). We enjoy the 1970s atmosphere, but the menu could be updated a tad (they offer few gluten free options). It’s sad because I think this place could be so much better with a few changes.More

Healthy menu, good prices. Highly recommend. Split a wheat roll, for sure. I had a generous house salad with tofu for $10. Very filling. Good dressing. Split a $22 bottle of Rose, too.

Haven't eaten here since the pandemic since we only dine outdoors and there is no outdoor seating. But a great restaurant with fantastic food.

Haven't been in a few years and miss this restaurant. Great place for lunch. Everyone in our family only had positive things to say. Fresh food with a friendly staff. In an excellent location surrounded by other nice shops with plenty of parking.

Had dinner here last weekend and we were glad we had made reservations as the place was packed! A friend and I both had wonderful vegetarian dinners, although I have loved their seafood selections on previous visits. The tempura is light and airy, the noodle...dishes are hearty and delicious. Brian was our server and he was attentive and knowledgeable. So grateful to have this excellent restaurant in our bustling little town!More

My wife and I took a short weekend getaway, and made reservations based on their nicely presented webpage and the crowds we saw dining here. The good: my fish and chips (actually, I substituted in onion rings) and my wife's tempura shrimp were very good....The garden salads were fresh, although the gorgonzola dressing was less pungent than I hoped for. Also, I'd say the prices were very reasonable. The so-so: the herb focaccia was basically soft bread, nothing like focaccia. The bad: the fish chowder (which was both on the regular menu and listed as a special) tasted like nothing, just flour mixed in water and tasteless lumps of stuff thrown in. We mentioned this politely to our waiter when he inquired about our meal, then he simply asked us again at the end of our meal 'how was everything?' I guess feedback is not valued or even acknowledged. In any case, despite the positives, I'll look for someplace else to eat next time I'm in Northampton.More

Originally recommended by friends, then I found it on Trip Advisor. Delicious food, be aware that it's a really small space. I can definitely see adding this to the list of places to go when I visit my kid at school.

If you haven't dined here, what are you waiting for? Fish and Vegetarian menu that is absolutely fine dining. A treasure that has passed down a generation to Northampton's benefit. I have dined here often and never been disappointed. TIP: Best seats are at the...windows if you can get themMore

We had a fabulous meal here while out visiting our daughter at college. They must have people running out to pick vegetables from the field after you order. Everyone enjoyed dinner. I had the pho with tempura on the side and everyone else went vegetarian....Portions are a healthy size and service is humble and good! No complaints from this picky crew.More

This was our first time here. We were with friends visiting from the west coast, one of which is a vegetarian. I had the cod scampi style. I am very picky on how my fish is cooked. The cod was just the way I like,...moist and flaky. My husband had the Guatemalan-Style Shrimp Sauté. He enjoyed it but there was no distinctive spices. The Indian pudding was good but not the best I have had. The service was very good.More

We felt spoiled by all the vegetarian options. We shared the hummus appetizer plate, but asked that they leave off the bread. She brought the plate and they had added more veggies in place of the bread, which was thoughtful. My friend had the sea...vegetable salad with salmon and I had the seitan with broccoli and brown rice. Everything was hot, fresh, nutritious, and absolutely delicious! Great food with a nice selection of yummy wines made for a perfect evening. Next time in NoHo, we'll come straight here!!More

I made reservations off the website but I wasn't recognized when we arrived at the specified time. I guess they don't pay much attention to it. While on the website I saw the menu and was pleased to see so many creative vegetarian entrees. My...wife and I had a nice glass of wine, the appetizers, a great dinner and the dessert. Lived up to its billing for sure. The Peach Blueberry Pie was to die for. I really missed having a linen napkin - even though I didn't need the linen tablecloth. Just a thought.More
