I was immediately impressed that the waiter had heard of my drink request and the bartender made a perfect Negroni. The single giant ice cube melted slowly and added to the drink's enjoyment. I ate lunch here twice. The first time I had a flatbread with pancetta and pear which could have done with a lot less sauce. The second... More

We were looking for a place for an early dinner while in Williamstown for the Theatre Festival and decided to try this restaurant. We arrived early, because we had read on line that it is a popular spot, plus we had tickets for a play. We were warmly greeted at the door. The service was friendly and attentive. There is... More

In the area for the Williamstown Theatre Festival, we needed a place for lunch. After looking at the menu on line, we concluded that there was something for everyone in our party. We were seated quickly. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgable. We asked about a burger we'd seen on line but wasn't listed on our menus. She knew exactly... More

Good food, interesting selections, some local ingredients. Large bar area, but on a Friday night at 6:30 the noise is deafening. You cannot hear conversation with someone who is not immediately adjacent to you at your table. Go on a weeknight when it is not busy or at a more "off" time if you want to actually have friendly conversation... More

In Pittsfield, Massachusetts, there is a restaurant called "District," owned and managed by the same group as "PUBLIC eat+drink." Given a chance … visit PUBLIC every time. I visited both on consecutive nights; some (the better) of the wait staff and bar staff were (unexpectedly) at PUBLIC. We recognized these folks, and we got great service from them. But, that... My husband and I visited last month for lunch. I had the chicken tenders and he had the bon mi sandwich. Both were excellently prepared and plentiful portions of each. The staff was attentive and friendly.

Was a real surprise, both ambiance and food. Casual but sophisticated interior and friendly staff. Got a table by the window, with late sun string in. And the food! Didn't expect the truffle fries to actually be...well...truffle- flavored! The caesar salad- had actual white anchovies and the burger was full of flavor. Ended with a simple but delicious strawberry rhubarb... More

We are picky New Yorkers who found the pasta with vegetables and the mussels dish surprisingly great among the more average fare. Tap beer selection was nice.

We entered at about 8 to a beautiful sunset streaming through the windows - and it's always auspicious to see staff t-shirts with "Fat adds Flavor." Teen rated the pulled pork sandwich "excellent," my duck was "very good/excellent," the fish and chips "ok". The fried chick peas and the pate "very good." Some new wines we had not had before....
