The Missus and me stopped in for a late lunch. This was our first visit to the Trail House, although we've stopped in at many restaurants in NA and Williamstown. Traffic was light and service was prompt. Our disappointment comes from the quality of the...food, which wasn't the greatest. We started with the ahi tuna appetizer, which was nicely presented but a little bland. We also each had a burger and fries. The burger was very small. It couldn't be seen under the bun. We asked for medium, but that burger was as dry as dust, and flavorless. Mine was a mushroom burger and you had to look hard to find the three mushrooms. The burgers were served with a fairly meager grouping of fries, which seemed to be the supermarket-frozen variety. Nothing here looked like hand cut. My wife started with a lemonade which was served in a plastic cup, the kind you keep on hand for little kids with clumsy hands. They should get rid of those things. I really have to say that, as burgers go, this was as poor an experience as I've ever had. The Missus felt the same. Each bite was mostly bread. Ahi appetizer, two burgers, lemonade and two Bloody Mary's. $70 plus tip.More

My wife and I find the trail House to be a consistently solid choice of dinner. We sat in the garden which was pleasant. The food at the trail House is also interesting and well prepared. I enjoyed the vegan entree of roasted cauliflower. This...might not be everyone's first choice, but I can recommend this dish on many levels. Service is very friendly and sincere but tends to be slow. This is how service has been in the past as well. So visit in a mellow state of mind.More

This was once my favorite restaurant, but that was when Danny was there. I think it is only good when they have a good chef in there. My last trip was bringing my best friend in there for her Birthday. First another friend ordered cauliflower...soup and said it was terrible. She only had one spoonful and sent it back. I ordered my usual salmon, I asked to cook it on the well side. When it arrived I had one mouthful and that was it. It smelled old and tasted very undercooked it was mushy. I sent it back and did not wish for another try. I will not go back and I am certain that is why it was empty.More

The Trail House is a beautiful place to eat in the Berkshires! The staff is very attentive and very friendly. The food is delicious and the owner herself is very sweet and made sure the catering went beautifully. Anything that wasn’t out there was brought...out immediately and anything else that people might need due to food allergies was accommodated.More

We went for brunch. It was dead in there and we were worried that meant the food wouldn’t great. We were wrong! Food was great! The menus was really limited, but I even had gluten free French toast! The butter was frozen, but otherwise it...was great! The place was really chilly, and felt closed because we we’d the only tanks got most of brunch, but we’d go back!More

Was a loyal customer, definitely in need of some staffing changes. Apparently there is a couple that work together and like to fight, black eyes and bloody faces don't make for a good environment. They spend their time trash talking about another restaurant in the...city, one that I will not name. I still go to FYP... We need more, Sean's, Kelly's, Melissa's and Cindy's. Then it will be an environment that I will return to..More

Everything from appetizer and salad to overcooked burger and burnt bun was disappointing. No complaints about the service, friendly and fine but the food was unimaginative and disappointing.

After a our spa treatments. We just missed the lunch rush so it was perfect timing. Jeremy handled everything. He is a one man show that killed it. So nice and friendly and honest. Thank you. The roasted veggie soup with quinoa was good and...the beet and goat cheese salad great. The wings were nice and meaty and burger juicy. Overall a really good clean place that had a great atmosphere. Definitely coming back when visiting.More

My husband and I honeymooned in the berkshires. This was the first place we ate and it set the bar so high. The service was excellent and they provided us with a few things to do around town. The food was amazing we got the...wings and a speciality margarita that was delicious. Highly recommend!More

Welcoming, pleasant, unrushed. Terrific staff: knowledgeable, considerate, highly skilled. Food terrific (grilled shrimp w/tenderloin), hot, timely, appropriately spiced, accurately prepared. Will return.
