We came here after Kayaking, and the food was DELICIOUS and so generous. Also, they made me the portabella mushroom dish even though it was not on the lunch menu. Plus, they were extremely Covid-careful.

This was not my first visit to Walnut Grille. I am not a vegan or vegetarian, but many of my family members are, so I had previously picked up their take-out desserts for a family event, and they were delicious. Eager to return, I had...chosen this restaurant for a Saturday lunch with my sister and my nephew, who is in his 30’s. I loved my salad, but many of the other choices were brunch/egg choices, and there was really nothing that my sister and nephew seemed to be tempted by. Both ended up ordering soup, which went largely uneaten. I wished that there had been a few more lunch choices, for folks who had already eaten breakfast.More

I've been to this restaurant several times, and I'm always impressed. They have a wide range of creative and healthy dishes, all well prepared and tasty. They also have a kids menu. I had the tofu loaf, which I recommend. It's a bit bland, but...hearty, and a good winter dish.More

Interesting vegetarian restaurant in a corner of Walnut St...i am not vegetarian but i love fruit and vegetable so, every now and then i go to such places. Very wide range of choices, even the menu of the day was very rich! Delicate artichokes and...asparagus soup, big and tasty salad of beets and goat cheese. Fair prices, friendly and professional staff!More

As a vegetarian, this is one of my favorite restaurants in Newton and neighboring towns. A little pricey, but well worth it for exquisitely prepared and presented vegetarian or vegan food. Vegetarian meals that have dairy ingredients can be requested to be made vegan. The...food is absolutely delicious and elegantly served. My favorite dish is the seitan or tofu masala. The service is friendly. There is a good wine list and full bar service. I upgraded my rating from last year’s 4 to 5-stars.More

My daughter and I went here after looking up vegan restaurants. The place was amazing. We had the falafel bowl, arancini, gobi Manchurian. All was wonderful

My wife and I live not too far away and simply wanted to try a new place without going to far. We are both certified omnivores. We could not be more pleased with out dinner last night. We showed up without a reservation, and were...seated quickly. Service was friendly and efficient. We had the cauliflower and artichoke heart appitizers. The pizzas at other tables looked very tempting but we went with the "chicken" piccata which we devoured. Had the apple crisp which was good as well. The portions were large and prices were reasonable. We will certainly be back. Maybe for breakfast?More

It's rough being vegan sometimes and this menu looked amazing. The food didn't live up to the descriptions. Nachos were soggy, salad uninspired and the server appeared not to even know what kombucha was. Weird for a veg-based place.

I've eaten here several times, both when I was a carnivore, as well as a pescatarian. Food is quite good, with a nice variety. Service is friendly, but sometimes the wait times they provide are quite wrong. i.e. "It will only be 20 minutes", and...it is 45 minutes. Once seated, service was excellent.More

Started going here when it first opened and am so thrilled to see most times for lunch, there is hardly a seat available. The restaurant attracts such a diverse clientele. The servers are always thoughtful and friendly, The food never disappoints or hasn't in the...many times I have been. Highly recommend if you are hankering a meal without meat!More
