Whenever I am in Boston, I always make a point to visit Aji for at least one meal. I often bring friends or colleagues with me, and everyone has always had high praise for the food. The fish is cut into good-sized portions; the preparation and presentation is fantastic; and the wide variety of interesting (and tasty!) house rolls will... More

Wide variety of sushi and other Japanese cuisine on the menu. Always fresh, tasty and nicely served. Great, attentive, friendly service. Full bar and take out. Great addition to neighborhood

We liked Aji Sushi Bar. I wouldn't say this is the most tasty Japanese food I've ever had -- and for some reason the restaurant seemed a little noisy. The wait staff was efficient, courteous, but a little cool. Nonetheless, I can well imagine other people giving this an "A" rather than my grade -- a "B."

The food and the service were good. It's an easy and nice neighborhood restaurant. There are plenty of seating, and the noise level is reasonable. I recommend it.

All the food at Aji exceeded my expectation for a Japanese/sushi restaurant in Newton. While you won't find dishes that rival the best sushi restaurants in Boston, Aji delivers solidly all around. The service is generally good, but servers can be inattentive.

We dined here on a weekday night around 8:30 pm. The restaurant was nearly full, always a good sign, but we were seated in 5 minutes. The menu is highly varied. We had sushi, yaki soba, spring rolls, vegetable tempura, tofu with veggie soup, and a fish entree. All were superb. Service was excellent, not rushed. The dining area is... More

This was our third time eating at Aji while visiting family in Newton. The service was excellent and the sushi was delicious and beautifully presented.

Went for lunch. Unfortunately the place was empty. pretty standard suburban sushi restaurant. We all had lunch specials which were inexpensive ($9-$12). The sushi was of a very high standard. very fresh. certainly adequate servings. Great service
