Life is mostly hustle and bustle, but the rest is happiness and mouthwatering-good pizza. At least it is when you visit Oregano Pizzeria & Ristorante. Our Italian restaurant in Newburyport, MA is anything but ordinary, and you'll taste the difference in whatever you try. Something magical happens when you bite into a fresh, hot, cheesy slice of our homemade pizza. Your worries seem to melt away (kind of like our imported mozzarella cheese), and everything seems right with the world. Don't just take our word for it, though. Stop by our pizza restaurant in Newburyport, MA to experience heaven on earth.

The luscious aroma of pizza wafting from Oregano could prompt one to dismiss this place as just another pizza place. No way! We enjoyed an excellent Italian meal here & a great pizza as well. The chicken wings appetizer was a large serving, served piping hot and nicely seasoned. Piping hot is how all the food came to the table. Kudos to the kitchen! The broccoli ziti dish & veal marsala won praise. But the real coup was the shrimp scampi pizza without cheese (dairy intolerance); the garlic oil was the perfect sauce and the shrimp & tomatoes complimented each other well. Every bit was enjoyed! Wait staff attentive & patient.

The smell is one of the many reasons I find it hard to leave the restaurant on nights I am there as well! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for your support! We are extremely grateful to you and appreciate you choosing Oregano! I highly recommend checking out the Lasagna Pizza the next time you come to visit!

Was seeking a superior pepperoni pizza while in Newburyport area...read numerous reviews for places & decided to give Oregano's a try. VERY good! Thin crust, but still had a bit of crunch. Sauce was spicy, a bit, definitely not a "sweet" sauce. Pepperoni was of a smaller size, but had a kick contrary to their size, but still not overly "greasy". Large was about 14 inches diameter. Will come back, (and that's saying something from me when it comes to pizza). It was very early evening, so no crowd as yet, but staff was attentive & very pleasant...at the same time...they did not "overly" bother me w repetitive unnecessary "checking" The menu for other Italian dishes looked inticing, so I'll return for more. Recommend!

On a Monday evening, when many of the restaurants are closed in Newburyport, we were so happy to come across Oregano’s. We liked what we saw in the menu so decided to give it a try. Although it is Italian, the Lebanese influence adds a delightful uniqueness. So many choices 😄
We had a very comfortable table outside and our server, although only with the restaurant for one week, was positively lovely and attentive.
My husband had the charred steak fries and the mushroom risotto special. I had the beet salad and Margherita pizza. We LOVED every thing. All was cooked perfectly.
We are so glad that we chose Oregano’s as our one and only dinner in Newburyport. (Just a quick stop over for us) We definitely plan on coming back.
PS. The solar LED umbrellas added an unexpected warm glow to the evening. Thank you

I went to Newburyport with my nieces today (July 31, 2021) and we were looking for a place to have lunch and we chose Oregano. The hostess was pleasant and very friendly, but our server was very unpleasant and she even lied to me. I'm not sure what her problem was, but she never introduced herself to us to begin with. The server asked if we wanted anything to drink besides water so I asked if the lemonade was made there and she said "no, it's bottled". So, I did not order the lemonade which appeared to bother her. From this point on , her attitude deteriorated. Since I didn't want lemonade with loads of sugar, I asked for a bottle of spring water. To which she replied: "We don't have bottled spring water". I thought it was odd that a place that had some gourmet offerings would not have bottled spring water. So immediately I felt something wasn't right so I asked for another server. When the very pleasant server came, I asked him if they sold bottled water. He said they did. I asked him for a bottle of water and he gave me a few choices, and he brought me the one I asked for. I went inside the restaurant as we were seated outdoors, and asked to speak to the manager. I reiterated this to her and she conveyed her apologies to me. I have to admit that having a server with a very bad attitude, and one that would lie about serving bottled water is something I never encountered before. Needless to say, I will not be going back to Oregano ever again despite the fact the the pizza was good, but it wasn't so good that I would go to a restaurant that has a server that would actually lie about having bottled water. She bit her nose just to spite her face, not professional at all. To note, I truly believe the manager could have done more to eradicate the horrible experience there. Her apologies did not suffice, perhaps deducting twelve dollars for the bad Cesar salad might have made me feel better. I have no pictures of the food, only of me and my nieces because we took the picture before the server ruined the experience for me.

I am deeply saddened to hear about your first impression of our establishment. Our servers are human, and unfortunately there is the rare occasion outside life gets to them more than they realize, but they should never allow that to impact someone's experience. You came into our home and expected the experience that would bring you back time and time again, but left with a sour taste. On behalf of Oregano I want to apologize for the experience you had, and promise that hopefully when you choose to come back to Oregano we are able to show you why we are the best in town!

Great fresh pizza - fresh toppings (meat and veggie)on a thin crust. One of the best I’ve tasted. Sandwiches were also enjoyed with amounts that could be shared. A good experience even in the pandemic times

Great spot for dinner. I had the chicken marsala, my daughter got penne and meatballs and my wife a salad with chicken. Great meal, excellent service and of course way too much food, which we boxed up and used for another supper. Recommended if you're in the mood for a good Italian meal.

Tried the veggie press. What a lovely surprise
So light, and so tasty. Especially the burrata with a light bit of jam was a great touch. So glad we happened on this restaurant.
The pizza smells great - something to try another time.

My wife, daughter, and I visited on a quiet Sunday evening that became very busy by the time we left. We loved the industrial but yet trendy look of the restaurant. Very warm greeting upon arrival and we were allowed to sit anywhere we wanted.
We each started off by having the Fattoush salad. What a great choice. The portion was very generous and enough for a meal. Tasty. Loved the pita chips that were on top of it. I ordered the linguine with meatballs and the other two ordered the eggplant parmigiana with penne.
I thought the sauce on my linguine was tasty and the three regular sized meatballs were perfect sauced and cooked. Not soggy but firm. Portion was generous. Clean plate back to the kitchen. The parmigiana dishes were a big hit. Just the right amount of mozzarella and the eggplant slices were large. Leftovers for the ladies.
The service was exceptional and friendly. The prices were very reasonable. There was ample street parking but numerous public parking lots in the area. The restaurant was located right in downtown Newburyport.

The restaurant was recommended to us by a local. The ambience was beautiful and cozy and our server was very friendly. We ordered the meatballs and grape leaves for an appetizer. The meatballs were very nice, the grape leaves lacked flavour, unusual for grape leaves. I got the lamb kabob that came with hummus and tabouleh salad. The lamb was very tough and the hummus and tabouleh were very bland which was surprising and disappointing. My husband got a pasta dish. The pasta was swimming in lots of overly sweet watery sauce and the chicken was beyond hard. He couldnt eat it.

Excellent brick oven pizza. Restaurant was clean and practicing social distancing. Only complaint was server never asked if we wanted additional drinks. No biggie as we flagged her down. Would definitely go again.

Great surprise find and great food.
Amazing that a friend had a great pasta and I had a great lamb and pita kabob dish. Very nice.

The pizza was less than average. It had no taste and had too much corn meal on the bottom. Not sure what it was if it wasn't corn meal? Service was great but the food was so uninspired.
