Right on the beach in Nahant. Great views, friendly staff and good food. The decor is interesting too.

So I was a little disappointed when I got to the Tides on Saturday and found that they had changed their menu. The 2 things me and my wife usually get were no longer listed on the menu. I asked about it and they said that even though they are not on the printed menu, they are still in the... More

So obviously its a great location, but if I had to describe the restaurant in one word it would be "Eh" or maybe "OK". First trip: came with my best friend to celebrate my engagement. It was a gorgeous day, lots of people on the beach, so we intended to sit on the patio, but it was closed for whatever... More

My friend Big Ben watched the Tides shaved Prime rib steak and cheese sandwich on Cronicle and had to try it, he couldn't finish. I had the chowder very good I also had a salad with steak tip. I don't drink but I heard the beers are imported from Ireland and excellent. Great fries. Sit on the deck overlooking the... More

I have been going to the Tides for many years, and have always loved it. My most recent visit was no exception. This visit we sat at a table in the lounge/bar area, the high top tables are great and the view of the beach is amazing. One of my favorite meals to get here is the chicken parm sandwich,... More

If you're looking for a dry tasteless and clearly old, lobster roll, Tides is the place to go.The restaurant is a fixture of Nahant Beach, and I have eaten there twice previously, many years ago. This visit was sadly memorable. After spending the afternoon on the beach, my daughter and I decided to stop by for a lobster roll and... More

Went to the Tides with my wife Judy, daughter Andrea and grand daughter Jolene for dinner since Fred and Katelyn were at the Red Sox game watching them get crushed 21 to 2 . Lots of people were there at 6pm but we wanted a table on the deck so we waited 40 minutes and were told at check in... More

But the food is just pretty marginal. There are way better options on the North Shore. It is like one of those big volume, touristy places on the cape. The drinks were good. The service is attentive. But this is not the place to experience the local fresh seafood. Stick to the regular pub menu. I have not tried the... More

The Tides has long been one of our favorite go-to places to dine. The atmosphere is casual, and the food is plentiful and delicious. On a recent visit, I ordered my favorite Stuffed Haddock with two sides. My favorites are the Sweet Potato Fries and Steamed Broccoli (all for $23.50). As I said, the portions are quite generous, and the... More

My 3.5 rounds to 4 for this review. Standard American pub and seafood options. Food was good, especially the fried pickle burger lunch special. Nice view of north shore. You can play Keno for fun.

Thank Jamie J
