We walked to this small, pleasant place for fine coffee and nice pastries every morning we were here. Delightful staff of foreign students, and a nice gift shop with classy tourist stuff like T-shirts. One of the delights of the small fishing village of Menemsha.

We used to bike to the Vineyard Haven beach for breakfast. Now we have to drive down to Menemsha but we still go every year. Great sandwiches, impeccable coffees and smoothies. Even the Rorschach lobster t-shirt is wicked!

Heading to Menemsha beach with 7 kids of various ages(10-21 y/o). Parked car near shore and took a short walk to grab bagels, breakfast sandwiches and drinks. Delicious! Also has a small store inside with unique Beetlebung gifts. Worth the trip!

I did not enjoy the coffee here as it was a bitter Vienna roast. I really wished I had tried one of the iced teas which I did not notice until I was outside again. There was a board listing the really interesting flavors like Cran Lime Hibiscus. That might have been better than the bitter brew I got that... More

Hi Genny - Thank you for taking time to share your experience. Our coffee beans arrive freshly roasted from the western part of the state, an elite micro-roaster we have worked with since we opened our first coffee house 10 years ago in a small cottage in Vineyard Haven. Their beans are among the very best in the world, fairly... More

$13 for a small sandwich with nothing else included. Add slow service and it makes this beyond the pale in terms of MV pricing ridiculousness.

Hi David, Menemsha is a small working fishing village, located in the most remote and beautifully rustic part of Martha's Vineyard. It is where celebrities, artists, and Presidents go, and many others who want to step back in time and get away from the rest of the world. Thousands of people converge on our tiny village and its handful of... More

Horrible service!! The coffee drinks were very good as were the scones (hence the 2 star review). The service, HORRIBLE! The guy at the counter treated us like we were a nuisance and keeping him from doing something more important (the shop was extremely quiet). I asked him a question about a local tour and he looked down his nose... More

If you don't want to eat at one of the seafood shacks or the fried food shack and you're looking for an upscale coffee house feel -- this is your place. A little odd to find such a place at this location but the food and drinks were good and much healthier than other alternatives in the area.

Hi Dreamingmother, Thank you for your comments. We are delighted you enjoyed your experience! When we first set out to design the former fishing chandlery which is now Beetlebung Coffee House, we wanted to create a space that was beautiful yet rustic and inspired by its remote up-island surroundings. We didn't have a big budget to work with so through... More

My husband and I stopped here for coffees and decided to stay for lunch. I'm so glad we did that because the North Beach panini was amazing. Pesto, turkey, mozzarella, and tomatoes grilled together is the best combination. Everything was fresh and my husband enjoyed his Santa Fe panini. I got a cappuccino and it had the perfect foam while... More
