When we entered the bar area, it felt like we had stepped back in time. One person was cashier, server, and greeter, so we had to wait to be seated. The small dining area had a few families on that Tuesday evening. Our goal was to get me some scallops, and they were on the menu in several places, all... More

Our party needed scallops in the Somerville area, but all endorsed by our hosts were closed by 8 when we launched. Went to Moulton's in Medford which has a supper club feel to it. The scallops were excellent; a shrimp dish was generous but the shrimp were hard and had not much flavor as prepared. A mussel with pasta had... More

We were looking for a seafood place where we could get a table on a Saturday night. No problem here! The place was nearly empty. Prices were very reasonable, perhaps too much so. I would have been happy to pay a couple dollars more to get fresh vegetables rather than frozen. The haddock chowder was prize-winning quality. Don't go for... More

Cozy place, friendly service, very good meal. Enjoyed the Lobster Pie and the Crab Cakes. I would recommend. Trip Advisor sucks, though. I trying to write a nice, short review, and it won't let me submit. Dumbest thing I've ever seen.

I haven't been there for a few months but have always found the seafood there to be fresh and with no surprises. The fried food always comes out golden and never repeats on me like some places that don't change the oil often enough. If you're doing take out call well in advance on the weekend or during lent. Prices... More

Went as a group of 4 on a Tuesday evening. Service was a bit slow, but food was all excellent! Schrod was extremely fresh and flavorful, and Lobster pie was also great. Would recommend to anyone!

We chose Moulton's based on the many positive online reviews. I'm a seafood lover and am always on the lookout for that small neighborhood gem. Unfortunately this isn't it. The dining room was quiet and pleasant, and the staff friendly and attentive, but we were very disappointed in the food quality. My wife's grilled salmon arrived smelling burnt and was... More

While visiting Tufts University for an event, I asked a former professor to lunch and he suggested this place. It was excellent. It is located in a residential neighborhood not far from the campus, but better to drive than walk. The fish is all fresh and can be ordered fried, grilled, baked, Cajun, or blackened. I had baked Filet of... More

We have been to this restaurant twice and have had great food at a fair price on both occaisions. The seafood is fresh and there is a nice dining room. Parking can be difficult as should be exprected in Medford but it is well worth a visit!

The food was delicious, simple and great quality. I had the Seafood platter and it was huge! Clams, Shrimp, Scallops and Haddock as well as french fries and onion rings. It was perfect since I was very hungry and just got back to Tufts from a long flight from home in Chicago. My girlfriend had blackened scallops and the pilaf...she... More
