Dined outside this evening. Excellent experience. Food and service top notch. My dining partner and I ordered an antipasto salad, one topping pizza and wine. Pizza was piping hot and salad consisted of very fresh ingredients. Considering the fact that this restaurant is on a main Street the restaurant did a fine job in creating a comfortable and cozy outdoor dining area with very little street noise. Prices very reasonable and family friendly. Covid compliant.

Good food and value,but....

We dined in January of 2020. The food was good and is usually pretty consistent. Service was average. I asked for some extra sauce and was charged 50 cents. Now it is not about the money and I am sure they made an extra 50 cents for the day, but really? It just left a strange taste in my mouth that the management thought that was a good idea. I wrote this review because of the 50 cent charge. I am not sure that is the kind of motivation the management is seeking and I have always voiced my opposition with my wallet. Will not go out of my way to go back as I did this time. If I am in the area and hungry, I would not hesitate to go back.

While the food is not bad, the service is horrible. Had to look for waitstaff at least 3 times before food or drinks were ordered. After food arrived never saw anyone until we finished and tried to get the bill. While eating we noticed a lot of flies around us and other people. Board of health should look into why or maybe Mama Mia's has an understanding with the town about not bothering them.

Nightmare Saturday night

To start on the way in the rugs on floor was slippery and our Spouses tripped and fell, no one hurt, Not a lot of people at 5:30 we figure we could eat and go. Service was horrendous, food was not appetizing for the prices. Had to seek manager 3 times to get any service. first night working waitress no idea what she was doing. Just a terrible experience. If management is interested in contacting me. Please feel free to do so. I feel like I wasted my time and money. Nothing like the original Kingston site.

We used to go to this restaurant every week after they first open. After several years we saw lots of decline in quality and service. With that ,we stopped going and just enjoyed other restaurants in the area. Today we decided to give it another try after many years staying away.let me tell you, if it is possible that it has got worst…… it has! First we went in and sat at bar. Place was not busy at all. Took forever to get waited on or even created. When she finally came over we ordered all as we did not want to wait again. Waitress says to us …!well, don’t you want drinks first…..NO as we have been sitting here and do not want to wait any longer . We order a large Cesar salad and a fried calamari to share. Again, took forever and when she finally returns it’s just with calamari. She disappeared again for the longest time that we did not think it was ever going to come. We decided to just pay and leave. When she finally returned she brought the salad. Now that we have all , we dig in! The calamari was limp and with a thick batter that was not appetizing at all. Salad was good but all dark green lettuce that really did nothing for the salad at all. We finish eating…. Again she had disappeared somewhere . My husband finally gets up to go find her as we just want to leave at this point. He can’t find her anywhere so he asks another girl to find her. She finally comes out. She brings bill and does not say anything to us as she is yelling a conversation with another customer across the bar. Returns with change and same thing , no eye contact , no did you enjoy it, no thanks for coming . We check the change and it was wrong by a few dollars. I looked at my husband and said forget about it as I want to go and not wait for her again , so we left!never never ever again will I step foot through those doors . Not only had nothing improved…. It actually was worst then I remembered! No wonder they were not busy…. Can’t be only one with this experience!

BIG SURPRISE

Like many of the reviewers before, I have had terrible experiences with this restaurant, Because of that, I haven't frequented this place in over 5 years, Only because I received a gift card, I elected to return last night. While it wasn't crowded, we were met at the door and escorted to a table in the main dining room, It was quite loud so we chose to move to the bar. From that point forward, it was nothing but 5 stars, Our waitress, Haley, was right there to take our drink order and continued with outstanding service throughout the meal, We both had pasta dishes which were delicious, The manager, Dave, came by to thank us for being there and was most pleasant. In short, we shall return again soon.

This place has gone down. It used to be our go to Italian restaurant. I ordered the chicken parm hoping it would have improved. It has not. Two pieces of overcooked cheap quality over ziti with about two tablespoons of sauce. Big disappointment. My wife ordered the pasta primavera with angel hair. Not many veggies and mostly carrots in a rather watery sauce. Food is definitely overpriced at $24 for chicken parm and $18 for pasta primavera. We will no longer be going to Mama Mia’s in Marshfield. Very disappointing.

went to Marshfield at 5 PM Wednesday August 14th to get a Chicken Parm to go. Went to bar to have a drink and order take out. I was completely ignored. Place was not crowded. Bartender completely ignored me like an ex husband 2 years behind in alimony. She seemed more interested in carrying on a conversation with several ladies across the way. A couple near me tried hard to get her attention to get a box to take pizza slices home. They were 4 feet from me and a professional Bartender would have said " I'll be right with you" Nothing...didn't look my way even thou I had been there for my estimate 10m minutes. A waitress near the wall saw this as well and had the look on her face of disbelief. I got up and left. Went to Haddah's and it was full. Ordered by Chix Parm to go and a drink. Go figure.

Awful We had to constantly look for our waiter, wave flies from our food 4 to be exact. Requested a drinks menu to be told 10 minutes later that there wasn't any available .I said that's a shame as we were going to order champagne to which he shrugged his shoulders. Dirty cutlery. Overcooked dry calamari. Forgetful service. Will not be returning.

Best red sauce around!

We frequent Mama Mia's in Marshfield most often for their lunch specials. Great variety and pricing on the lunch specials menu. I'm not real fond of the sausage here but might be alone in that opinion.... Their pepper and onion pizza is real good and there is no other red sauce around that compares. Order anything with their red sauce and you'll be happy!

Excellent bar area

We always use the Kingston location for our pizza as we are right near exit 10 (close by). We went to the Newer Marshfield restaurant last night for salad and pizza which was excellent. My only complaint is with the wine here which was terrible (no choices at all) and the house merlot, only one available was bitter. I do hope they order more desirable selections to choose from as it is Italian food which folks enjoy wines alongside their dinners.

Our “Go To” Place for Great Food

We frequent Mama Mia’s at least 2 to 4 times a month. It’s really good Italian food. The sauce is excellent and their specials are always a good deal. I don’t know anyone else who can make a stuffed pepper this good. We can’t recommend them highly enough. The pizza is the best in town.
