You would expect a restaurant that is walking distance to the South River and Humarock Beach would be a huge summer hit and you would be right. But for locals and those in the know Polcari's Bridgwaye Inn is a great place for lunch or dinner with a great menu with terrific daily specials, wonderful chowders and soups, great seafood... More

We were pleasantly surprised to find that it was not crowded. The last couple of times we went there was a wait of over an hour. Kathy our waitress was great, no rush. Food was great! Will go back soon!

Located near the water with easy access into parking as well as the restaurant. Warm reception and quality service abounds. The food was delightful and reasonably price being near a vacationing area. The history of this place is worthy of your time to catch up on. I'll keep this place on my perfered dinning list.

Called the restaurant at about 5 to see if they took reservations and they said they didn't. I asked if they were busy or if there was a wait and they said they weren't but didn't know what it would be like when we arrived. The young lady was very curt and my first reaction was to go elsewhere. We... More

After a. day at Hummock Beach with friends we decided to go to dinner. There were 8 adults After watching the children all day we needed some adult time. We all enjoyed ourselves very much. As soon as we walked in we knew we made a wise choice. From the lovely hostess to the great waitress who could not do... More

I tried this place with my family recently and I thought the food was just okay. Huge menu, all over the map from seafood to pasta. The staff isn't very friendly either. The views are great and the locals seem to love it. But as a non-local, I wouldn't rush back.

The seafood was outstanding. My spouse had casserole of multiple kinds of seafood in a tasty sauce, accompanied by a crisp salad, cheese potatoes, vegetables and warm great. He said it was all "really good" I had the fillet of sole and sweet potato fries and the sold was some of the best I have had in years. The service... More

You can always count on great food. Seafood is fresh, steaks cooked to perfection and amazing staff, especially the great bartenders.

I and 5 out of town, friends just had lunch at the Bridgeway. Several of the friends were seniors with hearing difficulties and just undecided when it came to ordering. The server was extremely patient, repeating specials and descriptions of meals, and giving us plenty of time to make up our minds. She returned to the table several times. Everyone... More
