Zarape just reopened after major renovations. Always have had great, authentic Mexican cuisine. The new look is modern, open, very attractive. Downside is noise level from opening up ceiling beams is now excessive. Food was great; service was a bit slow but also chaotic-they said...themselves they are very understaffed. The problem for those who are wine drinkers has not improved. Not one Chardonnay or Sauvignon blanc available even though menu lists Sauvignon blanc. Saturday night and they also had no Diet Coke….More

Zarape has been our go-to Mexican restaurant for several years, but recently reopened after a major interior remodel that converted the dining area from two rooms to a larger, open space with vaulted ceilings, adding a light-filled, lovely ambience to Zarape's already great dining. Zarape's...secret power is it's consistency: good food, good service, every time. Husband's burrito was excellent and he commented that the red sauce was the best he's tasted anywhere. The updated flan recipe won his approval. My veggie quesadilla was perfect, as usual, and the new Tres Leches Cake dessert was extraordinarily moist and delicious. Mmmm! Can't wait for our next visit.More

Dalia, our server, was punctual and attentive. The fajitas we ordered WOULD have been enough for 2 of us but unusually enough, only 3 flour tortilla (which wldnt be enough for ONE person). We asked for 1 or 2 more, were brought 3 and i...was dismayed to see extra $2 on our bill. Margarita way overpriced at $9.50. Food tasted good but noisy atmosphere kept us from enjoying. Bill w/ tip was $44 ...and only one entree, 2 drinks.More

This is a great family Mexican restaurant. Our tamales were perfect. Great atmosphere and friendly service. I shall return to try other menu items. I rate this authentic Mexican in a neighborhood setting.

Zarape This is a local Mexican restaurant in Marlboro, Massachusetts. There was street parking, but it was hard to find a space. Hispanic music plays in the background. The chairs are colorful and carved and the tables have large pictures of a Mexican scene. Our...table wobbled a lot.. Our waitress was attentive but did not wear a mask, but the other waitress that worked the room did. There were two separate rooms. The room we were in had two television sets at each end to watch sports. All that said, the food was very good. Our drinks came out quickly, but there was a wait for the food. Our waitress did bring us refills on chips as we waited. I ordered the beef quesadilla and explained I had an onion allergy and they were careful to make sure my meal was onion free. It was delicious. The tortilla was crispy and my steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked. It came with refried beans and red rice which was also very good. My daughter got the tamales and she cleaned her plate. Hers also came with the red rice and refried beans. My mother enjoyed her chicken sandwich. All in all this is a good restaurant.More

Recently visited on Saturday night. Staff and bartenders are friendly and funny. Table and chairs are well designed with Mexican characters and culture. Food is delicious, freshly made with many choices. Looking forward to our next visit.

This restaurant is a true gem in our community. A wonderful group of people, they employ a very capable and friendly staff. They were fantastic long before covid-19, but since this came along they have just upped their game. Their food is always hot and...fresh and their service is outstanding. So happy when they were able to open their outdoor dining area again. The season for it will be too short! Thank you!More

Just finished my curb-side pick-up lunch. Again, they did a great job. Nothing fancy just a couple of "Taco-Tuesday" beef tacos, but did they ever hit the spot. Their chips and salsa are great. I just wish that the take-out portion of the chips was...larger, even if they had to charge more. Maybe I will just purchase a side-order next time. I did have one issue. They confused my order with another. It is easy to do these days with all of the take-out. When I called, they were very apologetic and made my replacement order right away. All in all, great food at a good price. We will be backMore

We’ve eaten at Zarape a number of times. The food and drinks have always been exceptional, going beyond the typical cookie-cutter Mexican food one often finds. The wait staff has always been helpful. It’s worth noting that parking can be a bit tricky and the...place can get quite crowded - I’d avoid between 6 and 8 on Friday nights if you can help it, as there can be quite a wait. In nice weather, they also offer outdoor seating which is rather nice.More

We usually order take out, although we sometimes go inside and eat. The restaurant is brightly decorated and quite attractive. They offer a great menu and cocktails are good as well. Best (and perhaps the only) place for tasty Mexican food. Chips and salsa are...served on the table when you first sit down; and they are addictive! We just ordered take out yesterday, including the chips & salsa!More

We really liked our dinner from the beautiful giant menu at Zarape. Only complaint was, as previously noted by others, was that the Salsa was too watery, not in flavor but in consistently. We overcame most of that by ordering Salsa Picante and adding Pico...de Galo to the House Salsa, which spiced it up and added needed body.More
