We did takeout. The food was fresh, tasty, and full of lots of great vegetables. Definitely a cut above most Vietnamese restaurants. We had the shrimp spring roll, meaty pork ribs, stir-fried vegetables, and the vermicelli with “bbq” chicken. Everything was delicious and fresh and had more vegetables than I’ve had at other places. I expected the vermicelli dish to be like Bun from other restaurants, but it was a bit different. It didn’t seem to be rice vermicelli, but some other kind of noodle, but it was delicious. The only thing that was missing the night we got it was mint. The vermicelli had no fresh mint, and that would’ve made it even tastier. Next time we’ll request some. This was our favorite dining experience in Marblehead so far. Highly recommend it!

Always good Pho, Banh Mi, and noodle dishes. Solid wood tables with ample space. You won’t find better Vietnamese food locally. Their sister restaurant in Beverly is also quite good.

Favorite lunch spot. Fabulous selections for a great price, $12 lunch combos. Flavor is A-mazing! So many tasty choices...it's always a tough decision ;) Highly recommended.

The server was doing his best, but obviously overwhelmed. We didn’t mind waiting a few extra minutes, and he was VERY nice and apologized for our wait. Food came out very quickly after ordering. We had the mango salad and both loved it. I really enjoyed the bowl I got with noodles. The skewered shrimp were SO GOOD, and I loved the eggplant! My partner had pork belly banh mi, but the meat was really tough. He said it was still flavorful, but still chewy.

Waiters are service was great. Very healthy but bland food Portions are very small Our bill came to over $70 and we left hungry? There are Vietnamese restaurants in Lynn that are much better for one third the price. Would not return.

This restaurant was recommended as a place we could walk to from our B&B. We were expecting good but it was better than that. Atmosphere, decor, food, service and value all above average.

The food is so good...I just had to write a review. Summer rolls healthy and refreshing and the app of braised ribs was wonderful. So tasty and a good sized portion. The restaurant is small but cozy and inviting....staff very nice and welcoming. Come try this place!

One huge problem, the gluten free menu has become so limited I have only one choice, the chicken salad. Unfortunately that means we will probably not visit anymore. They do have chicken noodle soup but I was force fed that every time I was sick. Also quail but again I do not like quail, I only tolerate chicken. Very disappointing.

I had a small plate of quail and a spring roll. Both were delicious. The service was prompt and friendly. It's nicer inside than it looks from the outside. They have the usual Bun and Pho, but all the dishes that we ordered were different and everyone liked what they had.

Because Soall is probably the only two joints in Marblehead (not counting Chinese Japanese restaurants), that serve South Asian cuisine, everyone seems to be a little bit forgiving about this restaurant. But the food is mediocre. Several times I have tried to give it a chance but it has never passed muster. Curry Chicken noodle soup at $12.00 is a floating puddle of anemic ingredients that had a taste of nothing like curry. The chef decided to include fingers potatoes, but they were nowhere complimenting the taste. The rice noodle, for goodness sake, was cut like ribbons, as if they run out of it. The shrimp fritters was another reason to nod my head in disappointment. They were not crispy at all and falling apart. My husband says they are catering to the American palate, but other restaurants with a similar aim do better. Soall should do a better job.

My wife and I were delighted to discover this restaurant a few days ago. Very friendly service, quiet atmosphere for ease of conversation, and above all delicious food. We followed our server's recommendations and loved the beef in betel leaves, quail & bok choy, mango mint salad, and caramelized orange. Can't wait to return to try the bo bun!

I have been a regular here for years. Over the past year they have begun a transition with a new chef and an overhaul of the menu. Locals freaked out. There were growing pains. I'm happy to report it's better than ever! The new dishes are incredible. I haven't yet tasted every new menu item, but am LOVING what I have tried thus far. The old favorites of pho, claypot, shrimp fritters, cabbage salad, vermicelli bowls and bahn mi are delicious. My new favorites have been: crab & pomelo salad, yellow coconut curry soup, ribs, shrimp toast and ginger scallion lobster. The flavors coming out of the kitchen are incredible. Whether it's date night, dinner with the family or a lunch meeting, Soall is my go to in town.

Always have the Pho, but since the new chef have visited twice and not near as good as before. Broth not as flavorful, shredded chicken instead of nice white meat as previously. Condiments in packets instead of the nice presentation that used to accompany this dish. Today had beef Pho which was luke warm at best and again not as tasty as before. Hope they return to previous glory.

We were a large group and the staff went out of their way to accommodate our group. The meal of choice for several of us was the salmon claypot. Our meals arrived sizzling with the accompanying rice and pickled vegetables. Though the lighting can be a bit bright, the entire experience was perfect for a birthday celebration.

I've tried vietnamese food and was not impressed and didn't really care for it UNTIL I tried the vietnamese food here…..LOVED IT!!! I'm a very finicky eater and not a big fan of "greens"…This restaurant turned me around. They also offer "bites", which are single item tastings of several of their different menu items….PERFECT, for those finicky eaters and newbies to Vietnamese Cuisine!!! The Pho was VERY tasty and the wait staff was very helpful in explaining how to eat it. What a delightfully new experience for my taste buds!! Placed all the add-in ingredients into the Pho and LOVED IT!!! Try it, Experience it….You won't be disappointed !
