We went with friends the other night to Serena Ristorante. It is a quiet store front restaurant serving delicious freshly prepared dishes. The waitstaff was very knowledgeable, helpful & pleasant. The service was good, the food and wine were delicious, the prices were very reasonable & they take a reservation.
Recommend a reservation on the weekends. Intimate quality dinning in one of the last places you would expect. Almost all entrees under $20. Had the veal saltimbocca and it was tender but dense with a sauce to die for. Penne pasta with tomato sauce was flavorful if kind of generic. Wait staff was attentive but not intrusive. Neighborhood feel and... More
We weren't able to get a reservation as early as we wanted, and were seated late as this is a very small place and it was a busy night. That said, the zucchini crab cake and antipasti were excellent. We ordered a variety of entrees and everyone remarked on the tastiness. Our post dinner cappuccinos were delicious, as was the... More
Fantastic dinner all around. There were 12 of us and EVERY meal was awesome! Service was top notch and we had some watermelon drinks that were equally great. This is the first time we have been there but we will return again and again as the mood and decor matched the great chicken, veal and fish dishes that we all... More
6 of us visited this restaurant because of rave reviews published in a major news paper. Truthfully, this was worth the visit but I hesitate on 5 stars because I think you need to be careful on your food choices. The appetizers were very good - the eggplant rolotini was very nicely prepared, the artichoke hearts were from a jar/can... More
how are family in Boston are regular to this place so they decided to take us there. from outside you cannot tell how this place is neither walking to it because you will have to almost go through a Chinese restaurant to get to it. I decided to walk and wash my hands before I sit and order. I noticed... More
First time visiting this restaurant - our friends had been there before and really enjoyed their meal. My martini and their wine were outstanding - my friend and I had veal marsala which was very tasty with a side of homemade pasta. We did have two desserts - again - very good with two cappuccinos. The cost was more then... More
Great food, presentation and service. Very comfortable Restruant probably because it is family run. The additions of the "weekend specials" compliment the already varied menu.
Serena's has been open for quite a few years; named after the owner's daughter. Your usual region of Italian cooking will decide which dishes you prefer. Ex. if you only eat your mother's meatballs, then no other will compare :) Pork Chop with potatoes and peppers is recommended. A huge chicken parm cutlet. Enjoy!
