I was there with Family last Saturday.Having visited this Restaurant Numerous times in the past,I ordered my favourite Teriyaki Chicken. It did not look like anything I had eaten in the past.It was a piece of half cooked boiled chicken breast with partly uncooked vegetables with Teriyaki Sauce on the side. When I complained about it,They took it back cut up the... Daikanyama came back from it's renovation ready to wow, and it has. The dining room is beautiful, though it can be a bit loud when it's really busy. But, where they really shine is in the presentation of the food. Everything is artfully laid out - but not in a fussy way, if that makes sense. Everything arrives at the... More

The fish is VERY fresh, the menu is creative, and the food is always good. Sometimes the service is a bit slow (in comparison to other similar restaurants), but that is because they seem to be very busy all the time. I also notice with each visit (I have been here three times) other customers who are regulars (I can... More

Visiting from the uk for work. Craving sushi. Good reviews here. Food is solid. Nothing amazing but tasty and some fun rolls. I'd certainly come here for quality food and service.

The sushi here isn't bad. They renovated the place last year and majorly improved the interiors. The staff is friendly. Beware though that this place is TEEMING with kids. Parents go there and talk to each other or stare at their iPhones while their kids shriek and bang their chopsticks on the tables and dishes. Not a great place to... More

We went with our one year old. This restaurant probably isn't the most appropriate for kids since it is a nicer place. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly to her though. We just made sure to keep her occupied so that she didn't bother other guests. Sushi was very fresh and delicious.

We live here in town and always feel at home in this wonderful restaurant, newly renovated and expanded with three, peaceful interior waterfalls and more tables, but still the same expertly prepared and delectable food and serene atmosphere. This is where we brings friends and family. We always feel welcome. We are especially fond of Selena, our wonderful and good-natured,... More

Food has always been wonderful at Daikanyama, but the new renovations create a completely different and improved ambience. Private dining areas, fountains, and a reconstructed kitchen are all wonderful improvements. While sushi is the specialty at Daikanyama, the entrée menu has been expanded and there are other good choices available.

I've been here many times, and having spent significant quantities of time in Japan, i can definitely say that it is consistently some of the best sushi I've had outside of sushidai, or daiwa sushi, or edogin, around the Tsukiji market in Tokyo. The seasoning of the sushi rice is such a subtle, sweet acidity. I have been known to... More
