The quality of the ingredients is high; however, it's expensive even by "tourist town" standards. My main issue is the way some dishes were plated. I had the trout almondine. The trout was served on top of the sides, which includes potatoes au gratin. Unfortunately,...stacking them this way led to the trout's over-abundant butter lemon sauce soaking the potatoes. Everything on the plate became a mush of butter-lemon flavored food. Also, the trout skin was so soaked in the sauce that it was soft, fishy tasting and inedible. (Good fish should not taste "fishy.") Maybe this is by design and the skin isn't meant to be eaten. I confess I may be ignorant in this regard. The same problem occurred with the chocolate lava cake dessert. The warm cake was topped with vanilla ice cream which was half-melted by the time it reached our table. It ran together with whatever chocolate "lava" may have been inside the cake, so I couldn't even find the lava. Simply moving these sides to the side of the plate when plating would solve these problems and make for a much more enjoyable meal. My dinner companion had the penne pesto. It was average. The pesto was not thick enough to cling to the pasta so a good deal of effort had to be made to get pesto flavor in each bite. It was more like oil with some basil in it. Service was excellent.More

Last evening my husband and I hour first meal out since COVID at Frankie's. We felt comfortable going because of all the precautions and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating spaced apart is available on the porch, in the garden and in front of the restaurants. You...use your own smartphone to access the menus. Molly, the owner, took our reservations expertly even though the previous day was her wedding day! Marissa, our server, was attentive throughout the meal despite a full house. Our food was delicious-highly recommend the calamari. It almost felt normal to see folks enjoying a beautiful evening, good food and good friends. We were very glad we chose Frankie's for our first evening out and will most certainly visit again!More

Staff great. Service slow. Reservations are really recommended. Calamari was good nonna’s spaghetti & meat sauce was also good. Veal on the tough side & salad was just ok. Pricey for the food quality.

This was our first time to Frankie's which our Inn highly recommended. We were not disappointed and you won't be either! There was some confusion over our reservations but that was quickly resolved. No sooner were we seated and the owner came to our table...to make sure our experience would be a good one! It turned out to be a great one with an excellent server, Kelly! Portions were generous, prepared perfectly, with a wonderful presentation! The food was absolutely delicious! We highly recommend Frankies for it's great food and even better service!More

Food was very good. Staff was great and safety protocols were set up and followed. Sat inside and felt completely comfortable and safe. Recommend eating here if in the area. Will be back.

I've been here in the past and enjoyed it. Came back this week after a few years and although some things have changed such as the expansion of outdoor dining the food has stayed the same. The food is awesome. We had the polenta sticks...and the arancinni as an appetizer. We both thought that they were fantastic. My wife had the mushroom ravioli and I had the veal Frankie's which is a cutlet on a bed of polenta and spinach. Unfortunately we were to full from dinner to have dessert. Looking forward to returning soon. FYI I recommend that you make a reservation. A lot of places in Lenox have cut back on the days that they are open so there are fewer places to eat.More

Frankies was recommended to me by a neighbor. I was so very pleased. I have the family style chicken parmigiana. I was beyond amazed with the texture and flavor. It was perfect . The pasta and sauce was to my delight just right not to...much spice . I cannot wait to order again. I still am not comfortable eating out yet but there service was wonderful for curb side pick up.More

Our food was tasty and we felt that the outdoor space was safe. However there were a few issues that I consider inexcusable from a good restaurant - our martinis were served with ice, which watered them down - and I had a Caprese salad...which was served with pale, flavorless tomatoes even though it’s the middle of July in an area surrounded by farms.More

We try to do our part in limiting plastic with the environment in mind, but we happily give utensils if you request them. We use cardboard boxes for our to-go containers, which is a very standard way to serve our to go food. Most people...More

Absolutely. For a group, your size a reservation is a must particularly on a busy evening. We generally travel with 5-6 people and we book earlier in the day. With your size, definitely, give them at least one day's notice... More
