We had dinner at the Blantyre restaurant one night when we stayed there. It is very relaxing to sit in the drawing room and have a cocktail by the fire while you chose your dinner selections. Our martinis were excellent - nice and dry and served in chilled crystal glasses that are not your usual martini glass at all! Very... More

My daughter found this hotel at the last minute! What a wonderful surprise we had when we arrived!! The hotel is like Downton Abbey-beautiful in every way! The Staff was so gracious and welcoming- after settling our luggage in our fantastic room-complete with a fireplace set up to start instantly- we enjoyed a cocktail before one of the two fireplaces... What an experience! We drove up and was instantly greeted as if they were waiting for us! A beautiful old manor home . I was impressed on how clean it was. Gorgeous flowers everywhere. Period furnishings abound. Our room was very nice and decorated and furnished beautifully. Service was impeccable. I loved the evening piano music in the music room... More

My cousins asked their 95 year old mother where she wanted to go for lunch. This was an important decision because she had not been well enough recently to go out. She had been to Blantyre's once before and said she wanted to go there again. It was a great choice. The very professional staff treated her like royalty. The... More

I have been here several times. As a guest, and for dining. If I could, I would stay here for 2 weeks and not leave the property. The enormous collection of gorgeous Coffee Table books are worth spending time with, the property is secluded and stunning, the dining first class and so on. I love the Blue Room. Ate in... More

It's like you've stepped back in time to the Gilded Age... a beautiful setting, one of the old Berkshire "Cottages"... with amazing food and impeccable service. It's especially great for a special occasion. You can have a cocktail in the lavishly appointed living room, or on the porch... then move into the very cosy dining room with beautiful wood paneling...... More

Description
Dining is a very special event at Blantyre, Relais & Châteaux. Late every afternoon, the Main House undergoes a lovely transformation as we prepare for the delightful dining experience to come that evening. Linens are brought out, tables are set with sterling silver, fine china, crystal, and fresh flowers. Beautiful music fills the air and candles are lit. Under the knowing eye of Chef Arnaud Cotar, the kitchen is a hive of activity as the finest ingredients are used to create a memorable, outstanding dining experience. When you arrive, you can enjoy a pre-dinner glass of Champagne and canapés on the Covered Terrace or in the Main Hall, or sample one of our rich red wines in the Music Room. When your first course is ready our host will escort you to the dining room where your delicious dinner begins. Enjoy a glass of wine from our Wine Cellar, the recipient of the 2011 Grand Award Wine Spectator. Should your evening plans include a Friday or Saturday performance at Tanglewood or Jacob's Pillow, you may wish to postpone dessert. Upon your return, coffee, an assortment of cheeses and a beautifully prepared dessert buffet is served in the Music Room. In keeping with our house tradition, we require gentlemen to wear a jacket and tie. We also offer 24-hour room service.
