Ambience and service are great but food was fair at best. French country bistro should be rustic but this food was uninspired, technically flawed and bland. Salad with ham, goat cheese, shallots and walnuts was two ham and cheese roll ups with one almond and barely any dressing. Something more akin to a Wegmans salad to go that was hastily... More

Chez Nous is a lovely French restaurant. The scallops were excellent and so was the beet and cheese salad. Wines were good and not too expensive. I didn't care for the pate nor the blondie dessert. It is interesting to be able to order 1/2 orders a t half prices but I wouldn't want less than the full over of... More

We were on a mid-week break, prefer to dine rather than just eat so for us this restaurant was a bit of a disappointment. It's perhaps because they tried to seat us in a room that was elbow to elbow where you couldn't hear yourself think never mind have a conversation. The hostess did move us to another room that... First, call for a reservation. We wanted a reservation for a Wednesday night at 7 p.m. I called Tuesday and was told no reservations available for the inside. Only outside tables were available on a first come, first served basis. We decided to go early 6:15 p.m and got a nice table outside. We had to kill 45 minutes until... More

Excellent food with good size portions. Rack of Lamb and Duck were superb. Service was top notch, very attentive. When we got two orders of pate for the table and we ran out of bread wedges, the waitress was very prompt in getting more with a smile.

Rachel and Franck do a superlative job of creative menu planning and execution. And Mark is a professional server to be regularly requested. Wine list is superb, and the option of half-portions gives patrons more variety (and control) of their meal, their budget, and the option (necessity?) of dessert !

French doesn't have to be stuffy. This is a very informal place, perhaps even a bit ramshackle in the outer dining spaces. The service is casual but very polished. Most important, the food preparation is exemplary and the wine list is varied and fairly priced. We spend a lot of time in France and people there are particularly passionate about... More

We made a reservation for dinner and the restaurant was full. They have half portions, which is great. I had rack of lamb and my husband had filet mignon. We both had a glass of wine. Then we shared an excellent dessert - a blondie brownie with ice cream, rum soaked raisins, and whip cream. It was just the right... More

Very difficult to get a reservation; I tried to book online and was put on a wait list. To my surprise, I was texted to learn that a table was made available. Great food, casual decor. Best restaurant we visited in the area.

We have been patrons of Chez Nous for many years. The reason is obvious, we always appreciated the unfailing quality combined with inventiveness and surprises that please the palate as well as the eye. Yesterday our taste buds were subjected to a shock. 3 of 4 we ordered the chilled melon-pineapple-pepper soup. I had before chilled soups, so I reccommended... More

Chez Nous is a chef- and pastry chef-owned operation where the focus is on real, seasonal ingredients prepared in both modern and classic ways. We offer half portions of many items, to encourage lots of tasting and variety, and we take care to prepare as many items gluten-free and dairy free as possible, leaving lots of choices for everyone. Our 1841 house has charm and comfort, and our newly-renovated bar is the perfect place to have a local craft beer, wine from our award-winning list, or a creative cocktail, along with bar snacks, our famous pate, or anything from our dinner menu.
