Everything about Solstice is first class - the food, service & ambiance are excellent. Best steak I've had in years. Bar dining is available for a more casual experience than in the formal seating areas. Great place!

Solstice is a hidden gem in Kingston. The service is consistently excellent, the menu has a variety of offerings and the food is always delicious. The dessert and drink choices are also creative and enhance the experience. The servers know the menu and how plates are made and are happy to ask the cook(s) directly if they don't have an... More
This was my first visit. We went on a Saturday evening shortly after they opened for dinner to avoid a crowd. I was very surprised how full and noisy the bar already was. The restaurant was very dark, so I had no idea there was history behind the location. Our waiter was efficient but not friendly. Perhaps it was because... More
I have been to Solstice several times but haven't been lately until last week. I was there for a business meeting. The food was perfect. I got the shrimp tacos for an appetizer, the filet and the creme brûlée. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. The waiter was very attentive. Couldn't have asked for better food or service.
We dined here with another couple on a recent Saturday night. The restaurant has a great overall ambiance due in no small part to the fact it is located in a renovated train depot. So, there are all kinds of charming architectural features throughout. We were seated at a table that was very awkwardly placed just as you walk into... More
This old train station is one of the best restaurants south of Boston. Oysters are great.Chicken under a brick is one of our favorites. This is a small and cozy place, good drinks and attentive staff. We go back there again and again.
Nestled in the center of Kingston MA, this renovated train station turned restaurant is not to be missed. The food is fabulous and very consistently good; I have never been disappointed and that speaks volumes for me. They always have specials outside of their regular menu that are local and fresh. Try the baked oysters; my mouth is watering just... More
My wife and I had a gift certificate for this restaurant. As usual, I looked up the menu on their website. We ordered appetizers, pizza, dessert and a drink. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. However, I was thirsty and ordered 'sangria' for my drink. Online it was listed for $9.00 a glass. At the restaurant it cost... More
We've been here in the past for special celebrations and my daughter wanted to go for her 17th birthday celebration. It was a Tuesday and wasn't busy at all. We decided not to order any appetizers which I do not think that the waiter liked. He was a bit aloft. The menu online is not current. We had to ask... More
I have not been to Solstice is quite a while. We went recently as it was a half-way point to meet friends. What a disappointment. On a Monday night there were few people in the place so no excuse for sub-par food. Out of the four of us, only one enjoyed their meal, a steak which was reported as tasty... More
