We go often for dinner there, usually with MANY little ones in tow... The staff is super accommodating and eager to help; the food never disappoints, "comfort food" at its best and the place is super clean.

Love this place. Best wings!! If you love heat try the thirst and tens. We went there for my sons bday. Service is always great and food is delicious. We are hooked on their wings and nachos.
My wife and I visited in the last week in June 2018. We had a wonderful welcome from the owner and all the staff. We had a meal which was excellent and very reasonably priced. Any visitor to Ipswich should visit this extremely pleasant bar....Our visit was terrific and we highly recommend itMore
This is the best place to hang out in Ipswich at night, and has good food. They also have a really good, fairly priced pub menu. I've never been disappointed by anything I've ordered; the food is great. Everywhere else in Ipswich overcharges for their...food/drinks, or has nothing to do. The sports bar has pool and darts, great personalities, and cheap drinks. Everywhere else you're just going to be sitting around and overpaying.More
We got take out steak tip dinners. First of all, they gave French fries when we ordered rice, second of all, the steak tips were bit sized, and it was literally 6 bites of steak. They should be embarrassed by the portion. They were also...tough and no comparison to the Tips at the Choate Bridge Pub, next time we'll wait a little longer for a much better meal all around.More
This is our local and favorite watering hole. Paul the manager and all around super guy is AWESOME.. He treats you like family. The food is good and the drinks are great. Swing by for a game or just swing by.
We've lived in town for several years, but just tried the Ipswich Sports Bar recently and were quite surprised by the variety on the menu, and the great vegetarian options they have. They have the best veggie burger I've had at a restaurant. And their...prices? Nobody beats their prices! It definitely has a "local" feel and atmosphere. But don't judge this book by its cover! Two thumbs up!More
I have dined at both the bar and in the booths. The food quality is as good as any other place in town and this is a town that expects top quality food. The tradeoff is that the facility is just average for appearance but...the pricing gives good value for the money.More
My friends and I have been coming to the sports bar for many years. Since 2008 we have always found the price to portion, or the price to pour ratio well worth the price. My friends and I always compare food and drink to anywhere...else and 9 times out of 10 the Sports Bar in Ipswich is the best quality we can think of. For the price, and the quality you can get (especially during quiet, weekend, afternoon's) this is definitely one of the places you should goto. Recommended are the (insert flavor here) wings. The chili, the fried clams, and the steak tip Caesar Wrap. On top of all that, enjoy Paul's (the manager and head bartender) sense of humor and hospitality.More
We like this place for the wings, the keno, the beer and the owner. He is usually our server when we show up. He remembers what we drink and brings it over as soon as we walk in. Wings are good and the service is...above average. A nice local place to start the night.More
A group of 7 of us went here for an early dinner this past Saturday. We waiting about 10 minutes for someone to give us our menus. No one ever came so we went to ask for some. A waiter brought over the menus and...left. Another 10 minutes went by and he never came back to get our drink order so we left. They weren't busy by any means so I'm not sure why the awful service, but anyways here it is. 1 star.More
It doesn't look at all inviting from the outside, and the decor isn't much on the inside, but this place has incredible food (for some reason). Read the rest of my review at: http://mass-ns-restaurants.blogspot.com/2010/09/ipswich-sports-bar-grill.html
I just moved in to town and went looking for a quick bite, alone, and the Manager, Paul, noticed a new face in town, introduced me to people at the bar, where I ate one of the best Rueben sandwiches ever, and that is one...of my favorites so I was thrilled to have it done so well locally. It was served with a generous portion of hand dipped beer batter onion rings - the food and friendly atmosphere was very much appreciated and I think I found a home away from home. It also had a meetup going on; diners on the other side of the bar; it seemed to be the place to go for locals, and you know they always know the best places in town. They are repairing any damage done by the previous owners - check it out. I can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu!More
It is now Ipswich Sports Bar and Grill - not very good, unless you are looking just to drink a lot.
