Seafood store with a kitchen to cook orders for eating on the premises in small room with picnic style tables. Lobster rolls, Haddock sandwiches with fries or the best seafood chowder around are some of the favorites to choose from.

We came here as a recommendation from my grandma for lunch. They serve a multitude of fresh fish for purchase as well as offer an assorted amount of food for purchase and sit down. There are a few tables to enjoy your meal. We were...a party of 3 and ordered the clam chowder, shrimp & corn quesadillas, and the salmon plate. Everything was good except for the chowder. The potatoes inside were super hard and I think the chef forgot to put any clams in it. The staff is vey friendly. Would go back again.More

The fish at Ipswich Shellfish Market is the best available. There is a wide variety of fin fish and shellfish, and with high turnover, what's offered is very fresh. There is also a selection of specialty foods to accompany your meal of fresh fish. I...have fish and shellfish 4-5 times per week. The offerings at Ipswich Shellfish are a bit more expensive, but the quality is a cut above what's available at supermarkets.More

Excellent food, a bit pricey though. Enjoyed a very tasted hot lunch and also did a little shopping (they have a selection of home-type gifts). Neat place. Not your typical fish market, it's even better!

Not only do they have fresh fish, they have prepared food to take out or eat a lovely back room added a couple of years ago.

I have had the privilege of getting lunch here about 3 days a week for the last few years. The buffet style hot lunch selections are fantastic; the chef is amazing and is not afraid to try something new as well as sticking to the...menu favorites. If the hot lunch of the day doesn't appeal to you, there is a wonderful salad bar, soup bar, and also a cold case of prepared foods. And then there is always the made to order menu, though you'll want to leave plenty of time for them to cook your meal. My biggest problem getting lunch here? Trying to figure out which bite is going to be my last...there are so many great flavors in each meal!More

So get there at 11:30 so you know you can get everything fresh and a great variety. I love love their kale salad and soups. Thanks for adding a small area where people can sit and eat there. The lighting in that room needs to...be changed to make it a more comfortable setting. Quality lunch with fair prices.More

My wife and I are Part time Residents of Ipswich, MA. We recently stumbled upon this great seafood establishment during a morning walk. If you want the freshest seafood to take home and prepare, you can't do better. They have a great selection of hot...soups and everything is very reasonably priced. WORTH THE TRIPMore

This place is exceptional. They have been in Ipswich for many years. I was extremely pleased with the lunch we enjoyed there this summer. The owner is wonderful. They have food that you can take home for diner etc. The cafe is part of the...original Ipswich Shell Fish company. They distribute fish products in several New England states. The owners wife started the cafe. She is wonderful, and well like in the community.More
