I recently visited Ipswich as a solo traveler. Outside of the restaurant I could see thru the windows that they had a number of small tables. I was welcomed very warmly and the service was excellent. The Caprese salad was outstanding, the Chicken Marsala was fair, meat was not as tender as it should have been. The tiramisu dessert was... More

We chose this restaurant for dinner on a cold spring evening after visiting the historic Crane mansion in Ipswich. Nothing else was open on a Sunday evening during the "off" season in a seaside town, and there were vegetarian options for my friend. When I saw that there was only one other table occupied, I was concerned that we might... More

Zabaglione has been around for a number of years and has always been very nice but also expensive. Zabaglione cafe reopened next door and offers good food at a moderate price.

Just enjoyed excellent experience at Zabagliones. Veal chop (a bit expensive $32) was prepared excellently. Service was great. Restaurant is small so call ahead. Food is prepared to order and came hot Desert was to die for. (Signature chocolate cake )

If you're seeking a calm and charming locale for a really tantalizing meal in between your forays involving fried clams, choose Zabaglione's. Nestled into the storefronts of Central Street/ Rt 1A as it crosses the North Shore of Boston, Zabaglione's has delighted its faithful diners for almost 2 decades, with beautifully-presented delicious meals featuring ocean-fresh ingredients, epicurean cuts of various... My wife and I enjoyed a fabulous meal in December. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in to see the Chef cooking right in front of us in an intimate setting. Food was spectacular -- and how many places end the list of Specials with "if you don't see something you want on the menu, he'll make it for... More

Tables were so crammed together it was uncomfortable. Bartender clearly cannot make any sort of martinis sent them back twice. Charming atmosphere nicely decorated however the food was also quite disappointing. I order the grilled salmon and it came overcooked and on top of a cheap piece of gooey white French bread. Its trying to represent Italian food but is... More

When you go to the new Zabagliones just remember - its not fast food. This is a time to listen to great Italian music - talk with friends or it may just be the two of you - and enjoy a glass of wine. When dinner arrives you will not be disappointed. Hot - fresh and delicious ! If you... More

Zabaglione's Cafe just reopened for lunch a few weeks ago. It has the same menu it used to have at the other location and the quality of the food was just as good or even a bit better. There is also the Ristorante section where the prices are higher and dinner only is served, but I prefer the Café side... More

The food is great. No question about that. But it might get dumped in the garbage in front of you. The owner has been erratic and has insulted many of his customers. Don't know any locals who will go there.
