Burgers were ordered medium and came dried out. Wait staff very nice. As we were eating we noticed dogs (they were not service dogs) allowed inside. Not good.

From the moment we were greeted inside the door, with a pat on the shoulder, a very friendly man( may be owner) 60ish, nice smile, we knew this was going to be good! He showed us a table, explained that they would soon be getting...pansies outside, after I complemented the African violets on each table. Our terrific waitress, Sarah?, was very friendly, efficient. The service was excellent, same as the food! This place has to be a 10!More
Extensive and varied menu. Something for everyone. Even wine and beer. Lots of 60s memorabilia. Loved the vintage posters. Good food, friendly staff, and great music.
Lots of locals eat here! Reasonably priced and great service. The owner comes to EVERY table to make sure you are happy! Lots of tie dye stuff for the hippie soul! Lots of healthy food available.
We went in at the recommendation of a lady in the visitor’s center, and couldn’t have been happier. Lovely place, lovely people, great music, and great food!
We had a very good breakfast, and then returned 2 days later for lunch. That was an unbelievable disaster! It took 15 minutes for our order to be taken, and another 1/2 hour for us to receive it. My husband left the restaurant because of...the long wait and I had to take his order as take out. There weren’t many people in the restaurant, plus they had plenty of servers.. A couple next to us inquired why it was taking so long for our food to arrive. So they noticed, but not our server. When asked why it took so long, he said he had no idea, Very disappointing.More
The turkey gobbler was so good, stiffing had an amazing taste. Everything was nice and moist. I’m not a fan of the pasta salad but that’s because I don’t like olives and it had a heavy olive flavor. Will be back. The waffles others were...having looked great!More
We had a very good kind nah at the Heart and Soul Cafe in Ipswich. Both that Chicken Chipotle Sandwich Ned the Vegetarian Feta Wrap were excellent and the service was efficient and friendly. Very good coleslaw and pasta salad sides as well. There is...both indorr and outdoor seating with appropriate measures taken during the COVID pandemic.More
Dog friendly, outdoor seating, impeccable service with the most upbeat staff and breakfast was great!
I ordered the Swiss Burger off the menu and told the server to hold the tomato. SWISS BURGER w/sautéed mushrooms & onions, mayo, lettuce & tomatoes..$12.00 I received a burger on a bun with only Swiss cheese. I didn't say a word and ate the...burger, chips, pasta cup and finished my drink. My wife had the BLT sandwich which was OK. Our check charged me $12 for the burger, $1 for the bun, and $.50 cents for the Swiss cheese. I told the server I ordered the Swiss Burger and didn't get the sauteed mushrooms, onions, mayo, lettuce, and you're charging me extra for the bun and cheese? I said that's not right. She apologized and went in to see the manager. The manager refused to correct the bill. I told the server this was our first time here and it will be our last. She apologized again and I said it's not your fault, it's the manager's. Don't go here unless you want to be nickel'd and dime'd and not be served what you ordered.More
drove into Ipswich to check out lunch. Not much open due to being Columbus Day. Queued at H&S, most definitely worth the drive and the wait. Great buzz, good music, excellent service and delicious food. Visit, you won’t be sorry.
Breakfast was outstanding. We had scrambled eggs and the avocado toast. I don’t usually spend over $13 for a breakfast entree but the avocado toast was so worth it! Coffee was also very good. Great service by Sherry. Best way to start our day.
Food is really Good. I always salt and pepper my food, but was no need to,The lemon aioli on the Avocado toast needed other seasoning Yummm
A nice throwback in downtown Ipswich. Breakfast and lunch all day. Live music some nights. Nice menu and very friendly service
I had heard some good things about this little place, so I met a friend for lunch with some expectations of it being really great. The ambiance is funky and cool with various poster sized photos of musicians and pop culture art, etc. After being...seated we waited a good 10 min until someone asked if we were all set. They were not busy. There were three women behind the counter doing various things, not sure what, but paying attention to the dining room was not one of them. When a waitress finally took over, she hesitated because she said that our table was another waitress's and she seemed nervous. I told her that since she was the only person that had talked to us in 10 minutes, we'd take her! After ordering two simple lunches of a tuna sandwich and grilled chicken on a salad, we waited 30 more minutes. Two other parties that sat after us received their meals. When I finally flagged down a waitress (this was a very difficult thing to do. It was weird! We had to work really hard to get someone's attention. The place is small.), I asked where our food was. She seemed a little concerned and went to check. She then came back to tell us that since the chicken for my salad was cooked to order, it was taking longer. (30 min for strips of chicken on a salad? I don't think so.) Something was amiss this day, but I don't know what it was. While waiting, we took a good look around the room and then looked up; there is a GIANT ceiling fan....it was covered in a thick layer of dust. It hadn't been cleaned in a LONG time. Had they turned it on, it would've been a disaster. Attention to detail is not a strong suit here. At all. There were several posters hanging on the windows and doors about the Phantom Gourmet giving them an Honorable Mention and that it was to be televised soon. The Phantom had obviously dined there on another day. Disappointed. Food was decent, but the lack of service skills and attention to detail made for a lackluster experience. They clearly could use a dining room manager. Even little places need to keep on their toes. There's plenty of competition. And for the love of God, clean the damn fan.More
