We usually have Christmas Eve either in Wellfleet or in Upstate NY. This year it was on The Cape. When we drive in from the Boston area we generally stop in to Hyannis for a quick sip and this year the only place open on Main St. was Embargo. They had just opened for Christmas Eve festivities and the two... More

Stopped on the way home for a night cap. Thank goodness for Luis, as Brie was not a favorable bartender. Luis set us up with menus etc & was happy to provide whatever we needed. As we we were looking at the menu for drinks, Brie came along & Asked if we needed anything. My husband ordered a Baileys straight... More

Went to Embargo on my birthday, 1/17/17 for the first time. It was a Tuesday and they offered 1/2 price on most Tapas. We had 7 different tapas, both hot and cold. The price was great and so was the food, service and atmosphere. Will go back and suggest to all.

Recommended by a local, we visited Embargo on a chilly Hyannis evening. It seemed to be the local bar scene. Our fellow patrons seemed to be mainly local people out for a drink. We decided to try the menu while we were in there and weren't disappointed. I would not make it a dinner destination but do recommend if you... More

Had read several reviews and we decided to go in early on New Year's eve. The bar staff was wonderful and very helpful with the menu. We went during happy hour when almost all of the tapas plates are half price. The food selection was excellent. Will definitely return.

We decided to have tapas @ Embargo on New Years Eve in the late afternoon. They advertise 1/2 off tapas between 4:30-6 PM. Check online for the tapas menu; Con: 1/2 price isn't included on any daily tapas specials, Pro: 1/2 price is on every day in the off season including Saturdays & holidays. I like sitting @ the bar:... More

Tapa Time: ( I have been to Madrid, Spain for Tapas) 3 Lamb Lollie,( $3.00 ea) , ($9.00). Asked for medium rare, 2 were, 1 was well done. Seasoned well and... More

Very nice place to go for a relaxing evening with friends or a date. The live jazz makes for a perfect evening. The tapas (and entire menu) choices are amazing, no shortage of selection no matter what you are in the mood for. Recommend the hummus!

Nice place with half price Tapas on most items on Tuesday. A great selection of Martinis. Service can be a little slow though. Will be back but only on Tuesday as prices are a little high.
