In the area for the night and googled a lobstah roll nearby. Parking was easy and there were plenty of seats at the bar around 630. Music over the speakers was on point...and the atmosphere was open with a great view of the second floor...dining, beautiful spiral staircase and plenty of tvs. Bartenders were friendly and helped me pick out the cider I was craving. The man got a bourbon beer on tap and was very happy. We started with a cup of chowder followed by a lobster roll with coleslaw and a Hawaiian pizza....I especially liked the bourbon glazed pinapple topping! Everything was fresh and super yummy! Ended with a whiskey night cap and a visit to the saltwater fishes on our way out . Thank you Dan(who recc the cider) and to Jennifer (who recc the turtle cheesecake....as it did travel well) and to Jason for his friendliness and especially for checking in to see how our dining experience was...... 5 stars all around! Can't wait to return✌️More

Went here for a quick lunch. Listen, south shore bar pizza is a specialty here. It lived well up to the hype. Menu otherwise is creative and they pull no punches, you get quality food. location is right off of main street Hyannis, clean and...cozy atmosphere. We sat at the bar and our bartender was nothing more than hospitable. A+ all the way, do not skip this if you are in Hyannis or the Cape. Great spot!More

Good food and excellent service. My burger was great and my partners baked cod and fried zucchini was excellent. Their draft beer selection was also very good. A little loud but a thoroughly enjoyable meal.

Hurricane Lee changed our plans to ferry to Nantucket, giving us one extra night in Hyannis. We happened upon Portside Tavern, just a block from our motel, and we were not disappointed. The offerings at this friendly pub-style restaurant were terrific, from the personal pizza,...to cold lobster roll, as well as “chowdah” and salads. Friendly staff, casual ambience, reasonable prices, and not-too-loud surroundings (which we appreciate).. A great evening.More

We tried Portside for the first time for dinner before a show at The Melody Tent. It was excellent and we would go again. We expected typical pub fare, but the food was better than that. I had the grilled shrimp app. I expected a...few small shrimp but had 2 large perfectly grilled shrimp with a nice sauce and toasted bread. It was good as aN app to share or meal for someone with a small appetite. We shared delicious garlic bread with a generous portion of Burrata cheese. My husband had a chicken sandwich. We also liked that the draft beers were cold! The Portside has an extensive list of beers. The service was good - attentive and friendly. We recommend The Portside.More

What a fantastic find. Thanks, TripAdvisor. I had the lobster roll. And my husband had steak tips. Both were fantastic and very reasonably priced for this area.

Busy restaurant does not take reservations. Has outdoor seating which we took advantage of. Friendly owners and servers. All the food was good except the steak fries which were limp and not very tasty. The shrimp risotto was exceptional, so much flavor in the rice...is hard to find. Also exceptional was the Lobstah roll. Packed with 8 ounces of deliciousness -- you didn't feel cheated like you sometimes do. And they provided a very good gluten free roll. Kudos.More

We came in for dinner and upon entering sat at the bar. My wife ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and I ordered the steak and cheese sandwich. When the food came out from the kitchen my wife was given her meal and then the young...man from the kitchen began to set my sandwich down on the bar but instead headed back to the kitchen, it was the wrong meal. No big deal at all, mistakes happen. But nothing was even said to us. The bartender never even acknowledged there was an issue, much less an apology. It was just terrible service. The food was really good, the salad and the sandwiches were both tasty and for a fair price.More

We came here one evening as it was in close proximity to our hotel (Hyannis Travel Inn) and we were not disappointed. First off, we were warmly greeted by very friendly staff which continued all evening and we were very well taken care to ensure...we were happy with everything and never had an empty glass. Our 10yr old son particular enjoyed himself as he was taken off to get sweets on a number of occasions (as it was close to Halloween). Our food was just the basics, pizza, burger and french dip but oh so good. Best french dip I have ever had. There was a good friendly atmosphere with large screen TVs to watch an array of sports on to keep you entertained during your drinks and dinner. All so good our son wanted to come back again, in the end we ate here 3 times in 5 nights. Each time I had the french dip and it never disappointed. Thank you to all the staff for the great service especially Eugena for making our son in particular so welcomeMore

My wife and I stumbled on this place about 5 years ago and have been making a stop back here every time we visit the Cape. We sort of consider this "our place" and have been known to eat here more than once per visit...to Cape Cod. The atmosphere is enjoyable, service is excellent and we have never been disappointed with the food. This most recent trip saw a brand new menu, with popular hold-overs and new offerings. We have spent time at the bar, outside and seated at various tables throughout the restaurant and each time we enjoy ourselves and our food. The local beer selection is great, as is the wine list. Highly recommended.More

I actually gave the restaurant a three, not a one. That was because I felt the food was just OK, along with having one dish sent back and one that just wasn't very good.
