My wife and I were visiting Hyannis with friends, and we were pleasantly surprised with our dinners at the Black Cat. We all loved our meals and the lobster roll, which they claim is the best in Massachusetts, was undeniably incredible. We actually went back the next night and had another great meal.

Cold windy afternoon. People were sitting on the porch with heaters and side curtains, but we opted for the bar. Neat comfy upholstered bar stools. We order off the lunch menu. First we split a ahi tuna tartar ($11.99) It was beautifully presented, large enough for two to share, and very good. (Skimpy on the chips, only 4, and we... More

We love the Black Cat, located directly across the street from Hyannis Inner Harbor. The cocktails are excellent and the assortment of seafood endless. Every time I go I swear I am going to try something different, but always go back to either the fried oysters which are local or the fried seafood platter which gives me shellfish and cod.... More

My wife and I ate dinner here on the recommendation of our hotel clerk. We had clam chowder and split a fried seafood platter. The charter was very good. Most of the platter was also good. Haddock, shrimp, clams, and scallops were all good. The onion rings were very good. the French fries were cut very small and were a... More

Today's lunch at the Black Cat in Hyannis was a very pleasant surprise. Parking was very convenient, right across the street--obviously this would be more difficult in the height of the summer season, but in fall it was easy. In spite of the cool weather, we ate on the veranda, where they had heaters going. A beautiful view of the... More

Really good food, reasonable price...sat on the front porch (plenty of gas heaters for cool night comfort). They gave us a $10 coupon to eat at their sister restaurant, Roadhouse Café. Had the scallops which were excellent. Nice atmosphere.

We stayed at the Harbor House, a few short blocks away, and walked over to the Black Cat. We chose to sit outside with the heat lamps. Everything we tried was wonderful. My husband had the lobster bisque and lobster ravioli, and I had the filet mignon. The lobster bisque was creamy and very tasty and the filet was perfectly... More

Our first visit to Hyannis and we're told to go to Black Cat for lunch. My husband had the lobster roll w fries and said it was very good. I had the pan seared scallops over fruit risotto which was amazing. October is a wonderful time to visit. There was no wait, the service was ok. Thank you for the... More

We stayed at the Harbor House which is right up the street from The Black Cat. We ending up eating there all three evenings. Food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Waiters and waitresses were all very efficient. Would highly recommend this restaurant
