One of my favorite spots in Hyannis is stopping by Baxter's, especially the Boat House to get an outdoor table to enjoy a drink and some of their terrific fried local seafood. Even with the harbor high and a northern breeze, as it was on...my recent visit, the sun was still warm, the drinks cool and refreshing and the food quite tasty. It doesn't get much better than this.More

Yesterday at Baxter's Boathouse Hyannis. I love their big whole belly clams. They were great. My wife loves their fish and chips because she prefers haddock. She couldn't eat it all so I was forced to finish hers. Big thick tasty-perfect piece of fish. Only...open for another month. The view is one of my favorites. I love that green boat and wish I could afford one of those houses across the way.More

The cod was seasoned well and the fries were great but over the experience was just okay. The best cod I’ve had though!!!

The view from the deck of this restaurant is the best one Ive had in a long time. This is a casual place. Excellent clam chowder. Perfect Lobster Roll. Good wine selection and some interesting and tasty cocktails. Our server Emma was friendly and helped...us find a boat tour to go on. Service was top notch as she was there when we wanted something but didnt hover. Loved this place. I will come back here the next time I am in the area for sure.More

Had a great fish and chips here, right on the water with boat moorings for the “sail up” option. We sat on the deck, all seating was set out for distancing. Meal came quickly and portions were well proportioned. Lovely view, although at $20 a...portion, we felt you were mainly paying for location.More

Now when it comes to water front views?..Baxters owns it. Thats about all they own. Service was very good as well. Seafood bisque?..served in a paper cup and had obviously been microwaved. cold in some parts, piping hot in other parts. Disappointing Calamari?...frozen calamari with...some sort of "Gortons Fish Sticks" coating. Terrible..I got the fish and chips?...dont waste your time. Tiny way over cooked clams all shriveled up, shrimp about an inch long after being cooked to death....and a piece of "Haddock" that was really a piece of Tilapia. I live on the Cape and know the difference..More

Had dinner here. We ate outside. Service was good. Food was okay. Nothing special. I would not be in a hurry to get back here. It is right on the water which is nice.

No - Baxster's NEVER take reservations! Although you may wait to place an order, there's almost always plenty of space on the cafeteria side. If there's a wait on the bar/sit down side (21+ at ALL times) it won't be too... More
