Great local place with great food and food value. The Seafood Stew is money! Any fried sea food is done the right way.

Went to Schooner's with some friends the other evening for the first time. The food and service was excellent. I had clams and my wife had one of the daily specials of haddock with huge prices of lobster. They were good size portions that were priced reasonably. I'm glad we went early, because there was a line waiting when we... More

This review is long, so here's the lead: Schooner's is an old school, local, divey restaurant that offers simple, hearty, well-made fare at a good value served by warm and friendly staff! When I was younger (maybe 20 years ago) my father always loved to go to Schooner's for it's good, simple food at a good value. I, however, did... More

Had a family get together of about 30 people (literally, ages 8 to 80) at Schooners in July 2016. The wait staff handled the arrangements professionally moving tables and adjusting seating. Tables, rather than booths, were great for mingling. Drinks, apps, dinner and coffee arrived as expected. I heard lots of compliments (and no complaints) about the food. The servings... More

Tried Schooners again last night. We were greeted by a not very friendly hostess who led us to probably the worst table in the restaurant. The table next to us ha d work materials on it and a phone that rang constantly. No one else was there at that time and the waitresses were hanging around, talking and not paying... More

We had fish and chips and it was just ok, nothing special. The fish was good but the breading needed more flavor. None of us were thrilled with it. No refills on soda. The restaurant was crowded, had to wait awhile to get in. The bathroom faucet was horrible! It had so much crud on it, so disgusting! YUCK!

My husband and I were craving fried clams, so we called friends to meet us at Schooners on Nantasket Beach for some of their delicious clams. Three of us ordered the whole belly fried clam plate. They were outstanding, hot and fresh. The amazing thing about their clam plate is that the number of clams is twice what I've gotten... More

The food has always been very good and the prices for what you got even better. We hadn't been here in awhile and could never figure out why they won't do a interior update. What a pleasant surprise when we walked in and it was so much brighter and cleaner. Now maybe some new furniture and the place would be... More
