We drive by this place all the time, but stopped in to finally try this little restaurant. We were questioned quite extensively if we had made a reservation. We said no. It was a Monday in February. We were eventually given a table and the server was attentive and nice, but she told us to always get a reservation since... More

In 2014 my wife and I spent a week in Sarlat, in the Perigord, the culinary heart of France. Imagine our delight to find the same excellence, of both traditional and creative dishes, right here in Harwich Port. Not only outstanding food, but also friendly and caring service, and the early prix fixe menu is one of the outstanding values... More

L’Alouette continues to offer its $28 Prix Fixe Menu, albeit from 5pm to 6pm. In one way, it is understandable, and owner-chef Christian Schultz confirmed my thoughts when questioned about this when I made my recent reservation. When the Prix Fixe Menu is offered all evening long, as it once was, very few patrons go for the a la carte... More

We booked with L'Alouette for December 23rd for a family dinner. there were 10 of us and we were seated in a private room with personal service. The meal was excellent - such a variety of entrees and appetizers and desserts - there was something for everyone and we all loved what we had chosen. all served in a timely... More

Even though I am forced to give the place one star to post, I would give this restaurant zero stars which is very disappointing in the offseason on the Cape for the few local establishments that stay open. My wife and I had not been since hearing mixed reviews following the change in ownership. However, after personally meeting Christian at... More

You won't believe all the rave reviews until you eat here. Go if only for the steamed mussel appetizer. Fantastic. We had chicken carbonara and cod fish entrees. I can still savor them. Regrets only that we were too full for dessert. Perfect service and great atmosphere and decor, with enough room between tables for private conversation without having to... More

Appetizers and entres are creative while using traditional ingredients. But still great choices for foodies. Service right on time. Comfortable environment.

We decided to make a trip recently again to Cape Cod although we had been there in the summer. This is always one of our favorite restaurants which I would rate equally as good as our other favorite, Capt. Linnell House in Orleans. They have a wonderful menu although once again we went for their prix fixe menu for $28.00... More

I am always suspicious of restaurants that describe themselves that describe themselves as "French" as it is too often an excuse to serve up overpriced food with fancy names, but chef Christian clearly has a good grasp of true French cuisine with some good precise cooking. He is not immune to Americanisation, the portions are too large, with my perfectly... More
