We actually went here 2x. We were down for a long weekend . Dinner on Friday night we were tired after the work week and the drive from Boston and we want something quick and causal. We stumbled across the Land ho while driving up 28. We saw all the cars and ventured in. Pleasantly surprised, it was so cozy... More

A casual restaurant with moderate prices, we prefer this "Ho" to the original in Orleans. While the bar can be active, the dining areas are segregated enough to mitigate undue noise. Large menu with a number of daily specials. Seafood is always fresh, with sandwiches and plenty of other dishes offered. Good choice if you have a group with tastes... More

We stopped here on a Saturday afternoon in the off season. The Quahog stuffed clam appetizer was delicious. Prices are reasonable.

Had lunch there recently and sort of enjoyed our meals. I got the bowl of clam chowder which I think had a little to much potatoes in it, otherwise pretty good. Then we split a sandwich. Pastrami with Swiss cheese on light rye which was pretty good and quite lean. Just a bit salty. But I still would recommend this... More

We were a large party. I called ahead. Though they don't take reservations, they do have a "list" and our name would be on it, I was told. When we arrived, we were not on any list. It was not very busy, but our table was not set up. Our server didn't greet us ever, nor did she smile even... More

We visit the Cape once a year and always enjoy a meal at The Land Ho in Harwich. Always have wonderful service and delicious food. Just go eat there. Fried Clams and Onion Rings are my favorite!

We found this place whilst driving to Chatham and looking for some place to have lunch at 3 in the afternoon....we came upon this and judging from all the cars in the lot we decided it must have something! Indeed it did....great clam chowder, some of the best we have had. We ordered the fried fish plate: cod, clams and... More

We've been to the original Land Ho many times, but this was our first stop at the Harwich branch. We were there for lunch on a Sunday, and unlike Orleans, the restaurant was definitely not crowded. Food appeared to be the same. The layout of the restaurant is more spacious than Orleans - none of those tiny two-person tables. And... More

We happened to be here on a weekend when they had Swordfish Chop. I figured it was going to be chopped swordfish (you know, like a chopped salad). Obviously, I'm not a gourmet. Anyway, the Swordfish Chop is amazing. If you get the opportunity to eat at Land Ho on a weekend and this is on their specials, you have... More

Return visit from last year. The crab and spinach dip was so salty that we could not eat it, sent it back, was only told "sorry", no offer to replace it or take it off the bill. The main course was ok but nothing to rave about. Service was good but don't think we will return in the future.
