Hope and Olive is always a great, warm and friendly and fun place to eat. We had another terrific meal there last night- everyone was spaced apart, there is a new air filtration system so it is super safe - its always a wonderful place...with great food and ambiance, but even more special and important in this era. Hope and Olive has always been a great community member and supporter, and is playing an important role of a safe, social distanced gathering place. GO AND EAT THERE - you will love it!More

Found Hope&Olive while searching for a place to eat. The experience was very good, they had spacious seating arrangements. Great dinner and drink menu. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the Deerfield area.

We dropped in on a day trip to scout out covered bridges in the area, and had a lovely lunch here! The staff was super welcoming, and while the restaurant was full, it was so nice and quiet! Sweetie had the caesar salad, and I...had the MOST delicious warm scallop Nicoise salad...it was perfect The ONLY the that would have made it better was some yummy warm crusty french bread...I asked, but the only bread they had was toast. Sigh.... If you're in the area, make a point to stop by....well worth it.More

We had a lovely meal here a week or so ago. They don’t take reservations for small parties, but the hostess graciously put us on a waiting list and told us what time to arrive. We were seated within about 10 minutes of getting there....Our cocktails and entrées were pretty good, not over the top outstanding but nothing really to complain about either. I got the fried chicken which came with mac & cheese as well as greens and fried brussels sprouts. My wife had a roast chicken special. The entrees were large (Enormous might be a better word) and tasty. There were just some minor flaws, the cheese in my mac & cheese was a bit grainy, and the cornmeal used on the chicken batter, was too coarse. Dessert however, was outstanding. The coconut cream pie that I had was absolutely flawless and my wife loved the chocolate cake, because how could you not love chocolate cake? Overall, a positive experience and we would definitely come back here if we’re in the area.More

It was too cold and we were too lazy to drive to Easthampton, so we dined at hope and Olive instead. The salted bread and olive oil that started the meal was sublime. So simple, yet so yummy. We ordered The Thai mussels and cauliflower...tart for appetizers. Next time bring two straws with the mussels. The broth was delicious. The whole dish was great. I’m not above drinking the sauce from my plate or the bowl. What do you sop up Thai coconut broth with, more bread? Probably not. Sorry Miss Manners, I drank from the plate and bowl with no shame. The cauliflower tart, on the other hand was disappointing. The idea was good, but it was dry and just didn’t work. The special chicken which was glazed with brandy and maple syrup was delicious. Moist and delicious was that bird. The fried chicken was disappointing. The chicken was on the verge of overcooked. The greens were disagreeable tasting. The mac and cheese was okay. Ditto the barbecue sauce. For dessert, we split the lemon cheesecake which was a definite hit. So would I eat here again? I would give it another whirl and try different offerings. Those mussels are keepers.More

This is a great foodie place without the pretentiousness. Great description of daily specials and bar specials posted on the chalkboards around the bar. Nice selection of brews - but limited selection of wines. My salmon dinner special was cooked perfectly with several great sides...- very tasty! Friendly bartenders - but was reminded by the bartender / restaurant policy or city policy? to pound-sand after 3 drinks. Considering I had a beer on arriving, a Chardonnay at dinner and an aperitif with dessert - this seemed restrictive. Oh well.... Maybe it was enforced because the mayor of the Greenfield was sitting at the bar. Who knows? :).More

The restaurant had a lovely "feel" to it. I think most of the diners were locals but I am not sure about that. The waitstaff was very attentive without being a bother. I really enjoyed the food as did my friend.

Bartenders specialize with innovative beverages and most entrees focus on local ingredients. Comfortable atmosphere whether you are single sitting at the bar or joining family and friends in booths or small tables. The owners have made a personal commitment to supporting worthy causes one day...a month to return to their local community.More

Wonderful restaurant in Greenfield. We go often and always enjoy the beautiful space, the attentive, friendly experienced staff who always welcome you and make you feel right at home, the amazing meals. The restaurant utilizes many local farms, bakery's meat purveyors, breweries/other beverages, and more....Dinner Saturday was fantastic. We ordered the blackened salmon cakes and the country fried chicken. Both were flavorful, plentiful. Salmon was such a refreshing dinner in January, salmon cakes moist, dill beans tasty, sweet potato fries delish and the slaw homemade. My husband had the country fried chicken and just as tasty. So thankful to have this treasure of a restaurant in our home town. Great food, great staff, great owner. Just the best. Til the next time, which will be soon!More

Nope. I've made the Monday mistake and found they are closed then. However Thai Blue Ginger in Greenfield, which is delicious, is open Mondays.
