Went to Passports on the recomendation of our hotel's desk clerk. From the moment we entered there seemed to be just a general vibe of no one really giving a crap, just going thru the motions. Our server came for a drink order, when we were not ready right away she left and didn't come back for at least 10-15... More

We've been going to Passports for years. Five of us went for lunch and each of us was disappointed. First off, we recognized no one working. It was a Monday; maybe all of the regular staff's day off but unlikely. I asked our sweet but spacy waitress for a beer. When she came back to take our food order, I... More

Like they say, you can't judge a book by it's cover - so you can't judge a restaurant by it's size. At first appearances, you may not go in but you wouldn't be seated anyway as you should make reservations to eat here. It is that popular. Outstanding gourmet style dining. There were five of us and three of us... More

Passports serves excellent quality food at reasonable prices. food is American in orientation with some gourmet specials. Wait staff is well versed in what is being served. Wine list is very good and the wait staff is attentive to pairing wine.

Ate at Passports on Saturday and had an amazing lobster roll, the meat of one lobster with just enough mayo to hold it together. Really delicious with fresh mixed greens on the side, instead of tired old fries. My daughter had a crab cake with a side of sauteed garlicky kale. Both were wonderful, not heavy, with very fresh flavors.... More

My three girlfriends and I spent four days in Gloucester, Ma. This was by far the best meal that we had while there. Food was definitely a cut above the other recommended restaurants that we tried. Absolutely wonderful Caesar Salad ( I've had the best everywhere). Also had Three Sisters Halibut for an entree. Beautifully prepared with freshly made vegetable... More

Our crew of 4 ate dinner there early last night. Again, popovers served piping hot! Never gets old. Beer menu was strong. La Fin du Monde! With its 9% ABV, I was one and done. The food had TASTE! Real TASTE! My daughter's fish & chips TASTED like fresh briny cod, not fryolator. My red curry seafood stew and jasmine... More

We visited Passports after going on a whale watch tour that afternoon in Gloucester. The delicious food, ambience, and service were excellent. You can tell they take great pride in their establishment. Fresh food and warm, inviting setting. One of our favorite meals while on vacation. Loved it!

Last night, while in Gloucester, I asked a local where would they recommend and they advised on Passports. We hurried off there and secured a table quickly,it was a busy place with a lovely vibe and clearly frequented by a mix of tourists and locals. The menu was varied & most folk in the restaurant seemed to chose something different.... More
