Food was meh, and I have been here many times and loved the food. Had pork tenderloins and they were dry. Pounded very thin, and cooked. Served with rice & their fries ( too much carbs) Service good & no one else had any complaints. Would think they tended to overcook due to being pork, but would have been more... More

Went for a Friday lunch about 1 PM and we were lucky to get a table in this delightful restaurant.. The Azorean offers a large luncheon menu including sandwiches, salads, and entrees. The appetizers are interesting options as well. My friend and I split an order of grilled shrimp from the appetizer section and enjoyed shrimp that were plump, juicy,... More

My husband and I had been trying to find a night and place to meet good friends for dinner. Everywhere I suggested they had either just dined at that venue or somewhere similar. The amusing part was that everything that she suggested we had either just been there or someplace similar. I had heard nice things about the Azorean from... More

Pleasant dining experience with adult family. Good parking. Good house Portuguese red. Everyone at our table enjoyed their dish. We especially were impressed with the dessert selection - not the usual calorie laden super-rich choices.

I celebrated my birthday here with friends and it was great. The butternut squash ravioli was sooo good and I tried some their fall drinks and they were delicious. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the service was good.

Being new to the Gloucester area, my friend recently discovered the Azorean so we went for lunch. I had the grilled octopus and it was fantastic. My friend had the butternut squash ravioli and said it was delicious. The food and service here is outstanding and the restaurant is nicely appointed and clean. We will be going back again to... Typical Portuguese-American cuisine, the food is authentic, delicious, very reasonably priced for the types, quality and variety of plates. Not judging quantity by any means, but there is always food left over. The tapas.....phew, I could be in Spain; the soups and chowders, just like my grandmother used to make; the octopus plates, the mussels, the creative salads, the variety... More

Some of the best Portuguese food we have had in New England. Everything was home made and super fresh. Staff was very friendly, personable. Waitress made recommendations giving us complete explanations of how things were made for items we weren't familiar with. Menu had a great selection to choose from. Clean, bright, beautifully decorated restaurant. Dessert was wonderful too. If... More
