I went to this restaurant with my family of 5 and my in-laws. I have 3 children ages 8, 10 and 12. They have a lot of food here. The menu is big, almost too big. The atmosphere is very Portuguese and is pretty cool. We live in a Portuguese town so we knew a lot of the cuisine. Staff... More

My wife and I and 4 family members went to Azorean Restaurant in Gloucester, surprisingly we were seated right away for a Friday night. The restaurant was packed, but our reservation worked out well. The hostess was hospitable. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. The quality and presentation of the dishes meet the standard. We enjoyed the evening, but my... More

We went to the Azorean hoping for an authentic Portuguese meal, we were disappointed. My husband is 1/2 Portuguese, he was looking forward to an authentic meal. He sampled 3 tapas, the saluted pork, fava beans and chorizo and grilled shrimp. I had the seafood cataplana's. The tapas were on the larger size, the presentation was pretty much food dumped... On Monday evening the Azorean restaurants features 5 Spanish specials that are amazing. My wife had a covered bowl filled with mussels and claims. I had more of a paella including seafood , chicken, rice and peas. Both were excellent and each was enough for 2 hungry eaters. The price was $12.95. How can this be topped???

Very delicious! Best shrimp cooked with wine and Portuguese spices!! Loved the flavor! The calamari were tender with a very light crispy batter. The roasted garlic and olive oil were lovely with it. The smashed red potatoes with olive oil with quite tasty. The fish and chips was very good especially the Portuguese potatoes were yummy and crispy. The pork... More

Had a very decent Mediterranean meal - chose a sampler in order to try lots of appetizers and get a feel for the restaurant. Some were quite good, others a bit meh. Great wine list with many affordable offerings from the Iberian peninsula

The food was excellent. The service was not the best, but average. She was not very knowledgeable of wine , but we got through it fine. The wine prices were very CHEAP. They did not charge what restaraunts normally do. It was very busy. Good food, good value always works.

Excellent food and value. On Tuesdays the Azorean features $5 a plate tapas that change each week. Last week we had scollops, lamp chops, fresh fish with a mango toping and lobster ravioli, all excellent. Check it out.

My wife and I went for a Friday 6pm dinner. The restaurant was quiet at that hour. The decor was simple and comfortable. Our meal was excellent. My wife had the Azorean salad and I had the roasted vegetable salad. These were both very creative and different from any salads we'd had before. We thoroughly enjoyed them both. For entrees...
